Change for the sake of change is no change at all. IMO, the headlamp cluster was the most defining feature of the CLS and it didn't need to be changed. Ditto on the interior. Slapping the corporate COMAND screen on what was arguably MB's best interior in recent years seems to make no sense at all.

The CLS needed a bigger screen, it was far behind the competition. And to be honest, that headlight cluster looks far more engaging than the older one plus it adds new tech. The old design was definitely fine though.

I did love the lights.... much more than the more feminine eyebrow thing...

I really like what they have done with the radio buttons. I like better the new S-Class and C-Class solution, without the radio controls, but assuming this is what the new CLS will have as well, the intermediate solution of fixing the current AC controls looks fine.

the chrome touches to the head unit switches really adds weight to the otherwise dated and somewhat boring design, looks very nice, the screen tho, is a concern, the pre facelift screen integration into the dashboard was ace, i much prefer that.

Newgadgets.de caught the CLS SB in London. MB Passion says it will be introduced at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in June, together with the updated CLS.

The 9G-Tronic is still expected in combination with some engines.

Active Multi-Beam ILS LED headlights may premiere according to MB Passion.

The front and back lights changed only slightly doesn't look any better! They should have changed the back door like they did with the E class and get rid of that horrible kink or bump! The interior looks ok with that big apple iPad type screen

The CLS, CLA and S Coupe will take a really good eye to tell apart coming at you head on. Hopefully that will be end of this sharing. Too bad they couldn't fix the ugly side detailing like they did on the E.
