S-Class [Spyshots] 2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe/Cabriolet

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class, formerly known as Sonderklasse, is a series of full-sized luxury sedans and coupés produced by Mercedes-Benz. The S-Class is the designation for top-of-the-line Mercedes-Benz models and was officially introduced in 1972 with the W116, and has remained in use ever since. The S-Class is the flagship vehicle for Mercedes-Benz, being positioned above the other Mercedes-Benz models.
Any chance you can do very-slow and time consuming photoshop?:D

I can agree, the rear lights look too much like Bimmer's, I don't think it will look like that. However, the upper edge of boot doors is spot on, if you ask me. I believe most of the upcoming MBs will have that kind of back, inspired by the F800. (Check out the W222, W205 too).

Boy if the CLA had looked like that I would have the AMG version in a heartbeat!

You mean like the F800? Unfortunately, F designated cars are just preview of some aspect of design or engineering, they are never concept-preview of a certain car. Even it this one was, I think it would preview C Class.
Interesting thing about this car is that it was designed by Karim Habib, currently head of exterior design at BMW. Habib came to MB from BMW, stayed 2 years, and got back to BMW.

rear is very 6 series with the number plate in the bimper and thin wrapping around the corner tail lights. Mixed feelings right now.

This is a very fast ps to help read the shape and the main features better.

If i am honest i don't like two things about this car:

1)The nose doesn't look too promising. It's the weakest area in the SL and it seems to be very similar here.
2)The rear looks unspiring, dull and maybe a little bit BMW-like. The said AstonMartin-like but.... The overall efect is very Laguna like. Even if we like the Laguna it is not a good thing for a S-coupe IMO.

Man, that looks freakin' hot. It looks awesome. But does the rear light of the real thing goes that deep on the profile of the car ?? They look shorter on spypics or thats how I see them.

i had a strong feeling that the autobild render was accurate, as they have been for almost every S class so far, the front looks very prominsing though the rear may be questionable but it doesnt look too bad

In terms of proportions, this car appears to be absolutely "spot on". I personally prefer it to the somewhat overly exagerated BMW 6 series cars with their almost caricature-like "shark" and "wake" styling theme. The CL successor just seems to exude a far better sense of "balance".

Of course, the devil often lies in the details. Yet, when I imagine this car devoid of the swirly foil and plaster camouflage and with appropriate 20" or 21" rims-and painted in an elegant glossy metallic hue, I find myself very eagerly awaiting its' debut in production guise.

Well, the autobild rear is pretty off...

besides the license plate location it is but there was another render i saw of a tan S cabrio and the rear end is identical, i feel at this rate with the coupe being in FEP that it may just as well premier next to the W222 or maybe a month or so later
