Production allegedly limited to two units

The Aston Martin CC100 concept has been photographed ahead of its public reveal set for tomorrow.
Following a teaser photo released yesterday by the British marque, we now bring a picture with the CC100's rear courtesy of MotorPasion.com. As it was rumored, the car borrows a few styling cues from the DBR1 and is allegedly based on the V12 Vantage.
Little else is known about the car, but some say Aston Martin plans on making just two units of the CC100. One will be for celebrating the firm's centenary while the other will commemorate Stirling Moss' triumph in a DBR1 at the 1959 Nürburgring 1000km. If AM plans to sell these, expect a price tag between the V12 Zagato (330,000 GBP) and the One-77 (1.4M GBP).
Check back tomorrow for full details about Aston Martin's special centenary model.

Thread is now official:

Similar idea to the Mercedes SLR 722 stirling moss, I think this Aston looks even better.

The Aston Martin CC100 Speedster Concept has debuted at Germany’s 24 Hours of Nurburgring race this weekend as part of the badge’s centenary celebrations.
The ultra-exclusive V12 Vantage-based two-seater sports car celebrated its unveiling by completing a lap of the Nordschleife, alongside the 1000km race-winning 1959 DBR1 with British racing legend Sir Stirling Moss behind the wheel.
The CC100 blends the classic styling of the legendary DBR1 sports racer with contemporary design themes.
Aston Martin Chief Exterior Designer Miles Nurnberger explained: “The brief was very simple, yet enormously testing: create something that reflects the 100 years of Aston Martin heritage and signals the future of the brand.
“The idea of an iconic speedster concept that nods to the Le Mans and Nurburgring-winning cars of 1959 soon came, and we have had complete freedom to shape this car,” said Nurnberger.
The design also features an open cockpit, with no doors or roof and hints at future design cues for Aston’s production models with features such as the open grille treatment and ‘floating’ side strake.
Measuring almost four and a half meters from nose to tail, and more than two meters wide (including side mirrors), the CC100 Speedster concept is a product of Aston Martin’s trademark Vertical Horizontal (VH) engineering philosophy.
Designed and constructed in less than six months at Aston’s global headquarters in Gaydon in the UK, the entire body and interior is crafted from carbonfibre – tooled and produced by specialist company Multimatic.
The CC100 is powered by the latest-generation AM11 naturally aspirated V12 engine mated to a six-speed automated manual transmission with steering column-mounted paddleshifters.
Aston Martin claims the radical CC100 Speedster will go from zero to 100km/h in just over four seconds, while the top speed is limited to 290km/h.
Aston Martin CEO Dr Ulrich Bez said the “CC100 is the epitome of everything that is great about Aston Martin. It represents our fantastic sporting heritage, our exceptional design capability, our superb engineering know-how, and above all our adventurous spirit”.
“I have nicknamed it ‘DBR100’ because of its affinity to the great 1959 race-winning cars, and of course our 100-year anniversary in 2013,” added Bez.
At this stage Aston Martin has produced a single example of the CC100 Speedster Concept, which has already been sold for an stimated price of between $770,000 and $1,540,000 AUD

WOW, I love this! F*ck is this awesome!

6.0l V12, 580 PS, 1.200 kg.

Love the interior. CF and interior with only a few necessary switches.

Where is BMW's Supercar? I though BMW was the company that had CF at lowest price.

I love every single thing about that car. As long as it belongs to the interior!

Love the simplicity of the interior, otherwise not a big fan of these windscreen-less cars.

What a sounds
