I saw a 4min video on YouTube earlier today and it didn't really show anything different from what we saw two weeks ago

Wait they released this but didn't release the actual release date?
Since there is still doubt between Shanghai and Frankfurt.

Hang on a minute:

Concept Aestetics S is actually a SKETCH, not a usual concept car?!

It was supposed to be a scuplture, I thought, a relief on the wall (as opposed to the sculpture of the CLA, which was a floor relief).

I think the Aesthetics S is just a exaggerated interpretation of the W222 to catch the attention of people...

Just found a pic of a W140 interior concept:

Perhaps M-B is just re-interpreting the digital instrument panel in a more modern form:

Last Sunday I saw my MB-Dealer. He told me, that I could order the new S-Klasse in January 2013. He would be having brochures as well by that time. According to him, the car would be on the road (in Germany) in March/April. That means it will be introduced/shown before or not later than January 2013.
I know, "Testimonium de Auditu" but it sounded all very convincing. Let's wait and see :)

I dont like the new digital instrumnet panel in W222. I want to see the speedometer in the center of the cluster. Why? The steering wheel is hiding the upper left side of the speedometer (40-80 mph).

Is that the two spoke steering wheel? And also, am I the only one who thinks the digital instruments and the round, "british" vents look a bit like an anachronism?

OO = OO air vents, probably they are admiring BMW for quad circular headlights so they want four circular vents in the middle. jokes but anyway, they are so huge, is the car so big that more air con is needed than previous cars? Gauges that are like some computer screens put together.

OO ====00==== OO

yeah!

Yes. The two-spoke steering wheel was discovered months ago. The question is, will the three spoke be an option on non-AMG cars? Hopefully you'll be able to get it with the sport package. Mercedes has had round air vents in the past, but I do think they look funny together with the electronic gauges. Welcome to the 21st century, a blend of old and new.
