X3 M / X4 M BMW X3 M renderings.

In 2019, BMW introduced the X4 M and X4 M Competition (F98), being the first time an X4 had a M version. The X4 M is fitted with a 3.0 L S58 straight-six that produced 473 horsepower with the Competition models producing 503 horsepower. Full M models can be fitted with full M specific M Performance Parts. These include a splitter, spoiler, sport steering wheel, carbon fibre vents and kidney grilles.

The BMW enthusiast site Bimmerboost is the first to deliver their ideas and thoughts regarding the X3 M.

When I mentioned Previously about the X3M. It was one alongside an
X3 35iS that was being evaluated by BMW.
However I stress that No decision will be made on which model makes the green light until it has been identified that the new X3 has had a successful market integration.

As for the rendering? It is good of the artist to identify two clear points to enhance the look of the new X3 being the front and rear wheel arches which use those design elements to widen the look of the body , which is probably what the designers will do. The X5M intakes look familiar but they could be reinterpreting them from the actual X3 intakes.
The rear might be a touch busy but would probably benefit from additional intakes at the rear of the wheel arch and a larger central scoop. Bigger quad exhausts would probably enhance the look too.

O the horror! Not so much the chop, but the whole idea of an X3 M. :eusa_thin

M isn't M anymore, so I guess its fine. I wonder why there's no X1 M yet.

But they did bring 1M to us. I love it, best thing they've done since M3 E92.

Yes, I agree, really good showing. I think it would have been hard to justify noy to build the 1M... given that BMW still thinks M is what it used to be.

OMG, you truly never stop. Incredible.

Umm... no... But the 1M could regain a lot of what was lost. Just look at that "class", or segment.. it used to be all hairdresser's.

As long as they bring us a drivers cars like the old CSL i hope the 1 ///M drives aswel. I don t care one bit if they make an X3 M i don t even care if they bring a 7 serie M aswel.

But if ///M does not bring us thru a drivers car i do care.

It s the same as porsche. As long there are GT3 to buy at porsche i don t care what cars they build next to it.

Mostly the cars build next to real drivers cars are cash cows which are needed to finance the drivers cars.

No decision will be made on which model makes the green light until it has been identified that the new X3 has had a successful market integration.

I think it isa safe to say that the new X3 will be a huge sucess in terms of sales - there's no doubt in my mind - and the X3M ("Extreme") will follow soon enough.

please no, no X3M please please please. if i have a E92 M3 or even a E30 M3 i will feel utterly disgraced to be alongside a X3M, what a disaster. let alone the X3 itself isn't a very nice looking BMW at all. i would rather a X1M. the X1 is lower, like the Ford Forester and isn't 100% a SUV, more like a wagon so the idea of a X1M is defintely much better than an X3M. Screw that though, they started the X5M and X6M... X6M is OK since the X6 is supposed to be something special with exclusivity even though impractical, for those who really got cash to burn or to show the world that they can make a quick SUV, but why X5M.

By the way i really hope this X3 doesn't have anything to do with the next 3 series in terms of exterior design. That curvy side swage and that curvy line on top of the wheel arch are really dodgy looking. Damn i hate this thing.

I would have much preferred to idea of an X3M instead of the bigger and heavier X5M and X6M. If BMW do decide to develop such a beast I reckon it will be far superior and much closer to M-Division's philosophy.

But if it looks like this, then . Way too much body coloured panels for my liking.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
