*2007 CL Class Pics and Info Thread 3 Cont'd*

I confess, I am pleasantly surprised at these latest pics. This looks more like a Bentley competitor IMO.

I think when the final skin comes off, you will see a very distinctive car with the front wheel arches and swag line. I love the AMG rims.

The front does not look like it has the AMG kit:

Wonder if this one has the bi-turbo V8....

the front is difinitely not the AMG kit. I guess it doesn't really matter right now because they are testing the car. It is looking very promising. I would definitely take this over the bentley anyways.

this is not an amg at all i just changed the rims

heres the original picture ...

If only the rims make it so beautifull, I can imagine how beautifull it will be when it gets the AMG-packet!

Ok now what we've got the E-Class out of the way (Finally!), I'm ready for that first CL press release. Where the hell is it?

New CL looks good in these pictures, and if the S class is anything to go by, the interior is going to be very good!

The article talks about the CL63 but I believe this could be the CL65, check out the exaust tips, thay are just like the S65`s. The CL65 will join it`s brother soon. The CL63 will be presented when the S63 come on the scene or shortly after.

for sure I agree it's the 65 version! can't wait!

the CL is always in the same price range as the s-class....so the CL65 'll have a price like the S65....they abuse! :t-banghea

H0pe the 63 versions of them'll come quick....

Hope that the steering and some other parts like rims etc...will be CL original too.....always the same conversions are boring as hell!!

I wonder why Mercedes hasn't considered a cabrio CL yet.

I think MB has enough cabrios, don't you?

Lets see, there is the CLK, SLK, and SL, quite a lot!

No, they have the CLK. The SLK and SL are two-seater roadsters. Since it's sounding more and more likely BMW will be reviving the Z8, BMW would then have four drop-tops. Mercedes could do a CL cabrio much like the 6er but would be competing just under the Continental GT cabrio from a price stand point.

this car is really taking very long , i just cant wait for the release , i want to see it without the camo , im sure its going to surprise me and many other members here ....

P.S ... i hope they dont do a cabrio. , because the best part of the car is the coupe shape...

I don't think they can do a CL cabrio without compromising the rigidity of the chassis because that elegant roof is the all the support the CL has. I vote no to a CL cabrio because it might cause people to re-think buying SLs. Mercedes needs to concentrate on quality not more niche models. Though a CL cabrio would be nice to go up against the Bentley, it would sorta be like a giant CLK Cabrio.

Yes, this is becoming much like the E92 launch. A cabrio would be sick, dont know that that would happen given MB's financial situation at the moment, but it's a great idea, if MB won't do it a coachbuilder will.
