I am in the process of buying 2007 CL550 and intend to use it outside the US, can the odometer change from MPh to KPh

Hey racanda, yeah the odometer can change in between mph and kmph pretty easily. It's just a couple of clicks using the COMAND or the stalks on the steering column. It's even better than before because of the fact that the entire console is a giant screen and not a fixed dial.

Thanks for your feedback, i was worried about this issue when a friend told me that it is only available for the 2008 model

I think that the 2007 S550 did not have this option but it apperars that the 2008 S550 had this option back.

I do not know if the same issue was present with the 2007 CL550 and i think that you need to clarify this .

smartcar: You could be correct but the option is present in my 2006 S350. This being the international/Euro version could be the difference. I really don't know why MB would "remove" this option considering it's pretty much a software issue and NOT any physical part.

I will appreciate any comments about this issue, anyone has any idea if the 2007 CL550 Speedometer would be converted to KMPh

if it was not present in MY2007 but was added in MY2008, it should be possible to update the command software at a dealer

I called Mercedes Benz, they state that you can not change the speedometer arc of the car to KMPH,However, you can have a small side box on the right side of the speedometer arc turned on which reads in KMPH.

So you can have both MPH Arc and a small digital reading in KMPH.This appilies to both 2007 &2008 models.If you wish to turn the whole sytem to KMPH, then you have to take it to Mercedes benz for reprogramming.

So that is What it is!!!!!!!!
