Videos French comparison: M3 V8 vs RS4

A few things:
M3's V8 is more like a Ferrari's, while the Audi's is more like Nascar. Loved them both.

M3 better for track, better handling. Audi is more forgiving, great for everyday use.

They said they'd have both.

Love the footage, such a amazing cars.

M3 lacking in drivers involvement- definitely no sign of that from the video.
The m3 seems to be quite engaging and fun to drive.
The RS4 is definitely benefiting from the Quattro technology as it has traction from all 4 wheels and easily steers into the corner, and out as well.

Nice video.

Watching that M3 slide around those corners brings a big smile to my face. :eusa_danc

This video is showing once again how very different the M & RS cars are in their nature / character.

RS: glued to the road due Quattro. Perfect traction. Easy to drive.
M: oversteer in corners due RWD. Sliding. Very engaging to drive.

I can't imagine same person enjoying both concepts. Driving the RS is like playing a video game - great excitement of having everything under control. Driving the M is a hard & engaging yet very enjoyable work.

Like two different horses: both very fast & controllable. Yet one (RS) very disciplined & easy to control, while the other is wild & you have to work hard to control him.

Excelent video..to bad I don´t understand a word they said(like it matters:D ).RS4 and M3 playing on the track..what a sight:bowdown: .
Both cars are trully joy machines..:t-cheers:

Looking at the video one can see which car is most fun. I play Project Gotham Racing which is all about driving fast but in style by sliding through corners and having fun. That's why the M3 suits me better. The RS4 seem to be like Gran Turismo, very technical, fast but not a lot of play. :D

For what it's worth just about every review states that unless your driving the M3 at it's limit it's not as engaging as the RS4. ;)

I agree!! I've driven the RS4 on track and road and it's and awesom machine, engaging in every way! And I was also lucky enough to drive the new M3 at our launch here in South Africa, and although a very nice car, great sound and all, but it just doesn't have the same appeal as the RS4. RS4 sounds better and inspires more confindence than any car i've ever driven and is a hell of a lot of fun when your pushing it to the limit ...

is this the unbiased version? :D
I know people driving them both and their opinion were different from yours, they prefer the M3. To each his own I guess.

I don't think you have to drive the M3 at it's limit in order to bring out the difference between it and the RS4. RWD and AWD cars are very different, even when driving like an average Joe trying to slide and play around a little you'll notice the difference. Not only that but also when you drive, they steer differently.

^True.Well it was a pleasure watching that video and as most of u guys pointed out the M3 sliding was huge fun for sure, but i still prefer the RS4 it's driving behaviour is lovely:bowdown:

The test driver mentions briefly that the M3 had brakes problems?

Ι read that in another forum...:t-hands:

they probably meant they start to fade after some laps around the track. Its not a problem outside the track though.

Winter lasts only 3 months and year has 12 months and i drive my car through the whole year...:D

 to Audi's quattro, but i prefer sliding.:t-drive::usa7uh:

:t-cheers:
