I'm wondering what engine setup ALPINA is preparing? Most obvious would be V8TT pushed to 500+ HP. Since BMW M is also working on this same engine for the X5M & X6M, where is the gap in the BMW line-up ALPINA could jump in?

Times are changing, so I don't think they will do another B12 nowadays. Way to expensive regarding developement and expected sales figures, unless you're going to asia, russia and dubai.

ALPINA also used to be anxious for being more fuel efficient and "greener" than the donor BMW car. Even M is considering V8's for the next M5 and downsizing is all around. So, how unlikely is a B7 with the I6TT from B3 BiT.

Any thoughts?
 
I have full confidence in Alpina. I'm sure whatever engine they chose WILL ROCK :t-cheers:

The car will be a stunner. The quad tailpipes look so good on the car :icondrool
Can't wait to see what they do with the interior.
 
Pretty unlikely E38_E30. This car has V8 TT written all over it....
For the next gen B5, they will most likely have the I6 TT, and the next gen M5 can then perfectly have the V8, or even V10...
 
Love everything but the rear spoiler,as with every Alpina:D
 
Wow, retouching an IN plate (Ingolstadt = Audi) on a BMW Alpina is IMO worth a ban... :D ;) just kidding.
