M3/M4 BMW E90 M3 Sedan (Official pics & info)

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M

Re: Official release, 4-door M3 or DCT in October?

Could be possible. BMW has been testing it for a long while now and it's only wearing light masking tape at the moment. I say bring it on since I don't care about the cabrio.

Re: Official release, 4-door M3 or DCT in October?

What about M3 cabrio. :usa7uh:

Or even better: rumored M6 CSL. :usa7uh:

Tokyo Motorshow is just around the corner.

And mind that 3er sedan (as well as touring) is about to be facelifted very soon - so It's highly unlikely BMW will present M3 sedan before 3er facelift. Eg. Z4 M models & M5 Touring were presented with regular model facelift, same case is expected with M3 sedan.

Re: Official release, 4-door M3 or DCT in October?

Im not sure about M6 CSL anymore. We havent seen anything being tested or any spyshots.

M3 Convertible is my first guess, then comes M3 CSL. M3 Sedan comes after the facelift.

Re: Official release, 4-door M3 or DCT in October?

My guess: The M3 Coupe with the DCT. ;)

Edit: I'll add a black horse: M5 CS ;)

Re: Official release, 4-door M3 or DCT in October?

Either way or model, its going to be exciting and hot!!! Love when they release killer surprises, in addition the M3 Cab. is gonna be the most expected i would think.

Re: Official release, 4-door M3 or DCT in October?

seriously will there EVER be M6 CSL..or are we just dreamin..
anyone with something more than a guess?

Re: Official release, 4-door M3 or DCT in October?

^is there supposed to be a picture under that M6 CSL you just wrote??
or is it your guess?

Re: Official release, 4-door M3 or DCT in October?

M6 CSL? Huh:confused:

Seriously, we have already devoted a long thread to it. Until we have seen spy shots or any concrete rumor the M6 CSL is pure fantasy, aaight?

Re: Official release, 4-door M3 or DCT in October?

I agree with the M3 sedan coming out after the 3-er facelift. So the spyshots of the M3 sedan we've seen with the E92 front is a mule?

Re: Official release, 4-door M3 or DCT in October?

Unless i see some prototype, for me there won't be a M6 CSL. So most probably it will be M3 Sedan.

:t-cheers:

Re: Official release, 4-door M3 or DCT in October?

The question is, will the E90 M3 get its own unique front end in line with the current sedan differentiation or, in order to align its M image, will it get the E92's front end? If the latter is the case then there's no reason for BMW to wait for the E90 facelift.

And, how better to smack back at some delicious Japanese performance premiers at Tokyo than by releasing another M3 derivative with DCT technology in their backyard?

M3 sedan will get M3 coupe fascia.

But the rear - incl tail lights - will remain sedan specific. And FL 3er sedan brings slightly different tail light shape / graphics. :usa7uh:

Re: Official release, 4-door M3 or DCT in October?

We've seen spyshots of a red M3 CSL on N-ring. Maybe its a M3 CSL Concept?

Re: Official release, 4-door M3 or DCT in October?

Doubtfully...

Re: Official release, 4-door M3 or DCT in October?

"great news for the M-Community released on the first Oktober weekend"

- a M3 Convertible isnt great news, we already know what its going to look like (I still think its the convertible we'll see).
- Great news is a M3 CSL (but I think it comes summer 2008)
- M3 Sedan is great news (but just like with M5 Touring they will wait for the facelift)

so bet your money on the M3 Convertible.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
