If you could have any car-past, present, or due for production- what would it be & why is it your dream car?


The BMW Z8 is my favorite- a rare powerful car that is a timeless interpretation of the classic look of sports roadsters from the 50's/60's updated with modern technology.
To see one in person is to look at something with perfect proportions. Ideally I'd have one in Jet Black with black top and red leather upholstery.The Z8 is heaven on wheels.

For once again: BMW E39 M5. The best looking sedan in the world IMO.
and here it is. I would take it in blue or black.

The Benz-Laundelet was, I think, the largest car made in Germany until that time.
Might be wrong- but seems I read it somewhere recently.

My dream cars, Mercedes-Benz S65 and Ferrari 599GTB
I had a really crazy dream about a Ferrari 599 GTB today. The car was on a highway going like 150mph, I was running after it and I was catching up! When I got up this morning my legs were hurting from running that fast.:t-crazy2:

Sorry Luw, but that title doesn't sit with the 911 Turbo - rather, the Veyron.

Anyway, my dream car is the Citroen DS19/23 Pallas.

Why? Because it's beautiful, reliable, revolutionary and just so ahead of it's time. It's just...amazing.

A guy I know here in town has a Z8 just like that- black with red interior.
He also has a 959 and a 1994 turbo S flatnose (or "flachbau"). He wants
to sell the turbo S and the 959, but he says he will never sell the Z8.
Here is a pic from a charity car show we did in 2005- you can see the
edge of the Z8 on the left, then his 959, then 4 of my cars
(94 turbo, 914-6, Gallardo, Viper GTS).

Give me a Ferrari F40 LM GTE please. Raw aggression on wheels.
I told my wife once if I could have a F40 or one of the Porsche 962s
in the Dunlop/Shell black, red, yellow livery (#17, 18 or 19, I think
chassis # 962-008 and 962-010 and ?) I would never buy another car
again for as long as I live.

If I had to pick only one car it would be the CLS55 AMG currently. I'd want a 1994 E500 for a past dream car.
