I think we have to admit no other car is as impressive today as the Veyron. Pull up in a hotel and you can see plenty of Lambos, Ferraris, AMs, but this Bugatti, it's one of a kind. The RR gives the same kind of awe too.

But then again this is so difficult. Because all of the brands are so exclusive. Only a billionaire should be qualified to answer HoH's question.

I think prestige automobiles have really become a middle-class status symbol today. The truly rich don't buy cars to display their wealth.

In the world's most affluent playgrounds, the toys are much-much bigger and much more exclusive than even the most expensive cars

Well the example I used was just that an example.

My pick was between the Rolls Royce and Bugatti. (I just knew Rob would have picked Maybach )

The Rolls Royce is known World Wide as one of the highest forms of Automobile Supremecy. You really can't dispute that. The cars history is outstanding and long lasting.

Now the Bugatti Veyron has really changed all that. The car really out ranks any sports car on earth. The vast power and 16 cylinders pretty much puts even Ferrari and Lambo to shame. The styling is beyond anything we have ever seen and the interior is remarkable.

Bugatti has proven with this car that they can sit higher then Rolls and Bentley.

My choice:

If you parked this car by any other of the brands listed you would forget they existed.

This car is the ultimated in Status, Luxury and appeal, but the Rolls is a close second.

Well you know I agree HOH ...as long as we are judging prestige by price.

I still think there are some other cars that make an even better impression than the Veyron ....they Veyron might be "inappropriate", almost ill-manoured in some instances -- do you know what I mean?, showing-off is never a good look and the Veyron could very easily be seen as a car for people just trying to out-do everyone else.


To be absolutely honest, if I was sitting in the lobby of an elegant hotel and one of these pulled up at the front door, I wouldn't even notice a Veyron. Style and taste always beat ostentatiousness for me.

No seriously, the Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder rates well ahead of the Veyron for me .....I love that car.

But the Veyron would be noticed too ....it's hard to miss after all.

BTW, a 250 GT California Spyder will cost you more than a Veyron too ....so even from a purely monetary point-of-view, it is more prestigious.

Well likely something is one thing. I love the S65 AMG, but the Veyron would totally take my attention away from it.

One thing is I might see a Rolls or Bentley before I see the Veyron. Matter of fact I still haven't seen the Veyron in person.

This really leads to the question of exclusivity.

Which one is more exclusive Luxury or Sport cars?

In this case the Bugatti would in over a Rolls, but a Rolls would win over a Ferrari 430.
