Nach mehreren anderen Herstellern ist nun auch BMW zum Ziel von Klima-Aktivisten geworden: Derzeit sind 13 Mitglieder der Gruppe "Scientist Rebellion" in
Such a winning strategy. Are these the same group of people who were left at Porsche in the cold with no heating, no potty’s and no food? Hopefully BMW does the same. Thing is German Polizei follow their French counterparts and just rip their glued hands from the floor.
Back in 2012 I attended an event where all the art cars were present, I was keen to photograph them all, and I recall that even putting my toes over the line on the floor was enough to get the attention of security, and searches were conducted of bags etc. on the way in.

As it should be, I don't understand how with what happened in the "Welt" recently they didn't reinforce security or avoid presenting this car, maybe it was simultaneously
It's strange, as if they knew that the flour, with a good wash, would come out at the end, with glue they would have damaged it forever...it seems that they are not so stupid to turn people against
I don’t think that is the Welt? However I have seen peoples tolerance for this funded violence now at breaking point With the “Water Melons” not coming out at best. I am kind of hoping this can be brushed off without damaging the actual paint. These Art Cars are worth and insured for Millions.
The actual paint is protected by a heavy layer of varnish, I believe all the early cars are. Providing whoever has to clean it off isn't a f#ck-wit, it will be fine.
Also, why the f#ck are you only "kind of hoping"? Are you itching for some serious damage to be done for some reason?

No. But there is Escalation.
People are getting pissed over these antics. This does not stop at climate. These people have been brainwashed to completely disregard and end society as it stands. They have been indoctrinated to believe communism is the answer? When you explain communism and the millions killed you get the same angry answer Oh that was not real communism.
If you listen to their manifesto it’s full of the usual dehumanising tropes. Because that’s where it begins.
Escalation is happening because the public are fighting back against the disruptions and vandalism as you seen in that and other videos. Is it now only a matter of time before they have to resort to extreme measures to get the message across How long before the first bombs go off?
Bader Meinhof started as a “protest” group as did many others before they escalated.

Using "how long before the first bombs go off?" to clamp down on peaceful protest is not a good thing, nor is hoping that this went worse to validate that idea. If you would have rather they'd thrown acid, or paint stripper at the car to justify the retaliatory action you already want to happen, then your reaction isn't proportionate to the problem.
Over here we're getting climate protesters shutting down entire sections of motorway, we've had people flying drones around airports and other such ass-hat-ery, these things genuinely disrupt and endanger hundreds and thousands of peoples lives. Chucking a bag of flour on an art exhibit is trivial.
@SCOTT27 has a point, the ”climate” protest scene in Germany is getting more extreme by the day. Seeing parallels to the late sixties of the 20th century (Baader-Meinhof Gruppe/RAF) is legitimate.
Talking about lives; a few weeks a woman died, because an ambulance couldn’t get to the accident she was involved in. Why? Climate extremists were blocking roads and didn’t felt the need to go away just because an ambulance was in a hurry. Most read commentary in the “scene”: “there’s always some collateral damage in times of a revolution“.

The climate protest scene seems to be getting more 'extreme' everywhere, but you can't seriously set chucking a bag of flour over a car as equal to someone dying because their ambulance was obstructed. I'll reiterate, I don't particularly support any of these protests, but I believe the right to peaceful protest is as important as the right to vote.
A protest in which someone DIED, and a protest where someone has to vacuum up some flour are not the same and should not be treated the same. It's neither fair nor useful. Taking action against someone that is obstructing an ambulance is in support of the patient's basic human right to life (good). Taking action against someone chucking flour on a car isn't, it's simply to the detriment of someone's right to freedom of expression (bad). Freedom of expression is (here at least) considered a human right. So what happens when you treat all protests as equal (because they have the same cause), is you end up removing human rights under the guise of protecting them. Doing that accidentally, with good intentions, is incompetence ... doing it intentionally, is fascism.
Anyway...
I've recently been working on Warhol's M1 in my series of Art Cars in Gran Turismo 7...

Im all about helping the world in terms of sustainability but Greta, F4F, GAF, and alike are splitting the country more than uniting it for a single cause. During the IAA, I went to the protest and spoke with the people… it was scary. The extreme views, the lack of knowledge, and the close mindedness were shocking. I really was lost for words at the things these people stated as the universal truth (f capitalism, f any rich country, f anyone who wants to do well financially, f any goal tied to growth, f any personal belonging, especially cars, f all companies, especially managers, f material progress, def f politics) and how Greta was the savior of everyone. Not sure how they can be helped…

That is beyond great, a joy to behold and very interesting the digital approach using tools to translate the originals, I guess with 3d scanning and who knows what else.
BMW Individual could offer this as a wrap, in "copy 1 of 50" mode, I don't charge them anything for the idea and I would be happy just seeing them. Or those of Gran Turismo 7 could perfectly buy this job from you

There is a copyright issue between BMW & The Artist and Artist’s estate. An example is the BMW M3 GT2 Jeff Koons 1/18 miniature Art Car. MINICHAMPS wanted to introduce the miniature to its own line as well as in the 1/43 scale. But Koons wouldn’t licence it. So it remains highly exclusive. The 1/18 limited edition is worth over €1,000 Euro maybe even more.
The licence issue also ended a range of 1/43 Art Car series.

I‘m denying nobody it’s freedom of speech nor their right to protest. I didn’t compare the flour protest with the idiots who caused a woman’s dead. I think you know that perfectly well. I really don’t get why you need to end up with the word fascism.
I’ll leave it at that.
