It's YouTuber friendly content. Relatively short, relatively simple - I'm sure it gets clicks - and as well all know, that's way more important than producing quality content for most YouTubers. It's far more effort to do a 'proper' track test, and it's far less interesting to watch a video of these cars briskly munching miles in relatively serenity. So we end up with this... not that impressive, not that relevant.
