It will be a banger. Range Rover-esque styling but with:
No panels gaps
Better reliability
Lower price
Better engines
Higher levels of equipment
BEV variant
Bigger dealer network

Sign me up! I like that the styling is different to the 3-5 door mini. It gives the Countryman its own identity rather than being mistaken for a bloated 5 door.

I have been vocal in my personal appraisals for the current Countryman. But this is converting me. It’s body surface work is subtlety minimalist and the pronounced front and rear headlights add to its modern clean aesthetics. I think they listened in trying to conceive a design without squashing a MINI onto a much larger concept. It’s unique and separate from the upcoming MINI hatch. Which would look better with the Countryman’s rear lights instead of a bloated Spider-Man mask they have given it.

I have been vocal in my personal appraisals for the current Countryman. But this is converting me. It’s body surface work is subtlety minimalist and the pronounced front and rear headlights add to its modern clean aesthetics.

Yup. all super positive. One reason why a Land Rover customer might might buy it is because the approach to handling & ride quality are at opposite spectrums. For the X1 and Countryman, BMW prioritises handling, fun and road feel. JLR prioritise comfort, isolation and ease.

The ideal would be if Mini offered suspension options that are more comfort biased.
