Pick your car and say one thing that is negative

Alright.

All jokes aside. Pick a manufacturing brand that you like. If you have more than one, just try to deal with it and pick one alone. Once you are done picking the brand, then pick one sole car that has been produced by them that you have just loved. This car has to be a car that is so perfect in your eyes that no car can either come close or 'it is a shame that they don't make them like they used to.' Once this is done, you will have to say one negative thing about the car. However, negatives statements such as, "It is a shame they don't make it anymore" "It is so bad that no other manufacturer didn't make a car like this", etc., is not allowed. I just want see you pick your ultimate car, but put it down. Can you do this? Let's see.

Sorry, I can't.

There simply is nothing negative about the cars I love most.

This is precisely what I wanted to see. You have to say somethig negative. YOu have to!!! you have to pick one thing that you can imagine that, if different, would make you happy. Don't accept it, saw the flaws

lol. Well maybe the iDrive could be more like iDrive 3.0 (like in the E70 X5).
And there are a few other small technical things I had done a bit differently. However, I feel like I'm totally nitpicking now.

The steering on my '85 300SE is totally disconnected and lifeless. But I still love the car. :t-cheers:

It's not a sports sedan anyway.

So it can't still be in production..? or..?

Does it have to be a car which i personally owned, or can it be a car which i drove often but did not own.. ?

W210 E430: YOU PAY $55,000 USD, and you don't get a fricken CD PLAYER!!! A FORD has a CD Player...COME ON!!! And the Tape Deck thingy won't let you put in the Cassette Adapter for an iPod or anything else. :banghead:

G55 AMG: Interior buttons and dash look like a C-Class...can Mercedes get any lazier and cheaper? I guess using the old A-Class interior coulda been worse but still...

Don't get me started on the G280....

Porsche 997 Carrera S: Interior...its like they're trying to be a luxury car, which sometimes is ok, sometimes I don't care. But these panel gaps in the dash could use some work, and this standard trim...its like brushed gray plastic....not aluminum.

~I like this thread, good stuff Michael!

I am not too crazy about the Porsche Tax. Parts for the car are more expensive than for other cars. Services at the dealership are more expensive than for other cars. A while back in another post I mentioned that my local dealership wanted to charge me $318 for removing 2 plugs, draining the oil, change the oil filter, put the plugs back on and pour new oil in. Gaskets, oil filter and oil plus "shop supplies", $70-$80 max, the rest (~$240) for a half hours worth of labor!? What's up with that?
There are not enough competent people to work on these cars. Lots of people who are dying to work on them saying they know what they are` doing, but in the meantime they are just fumbling around learning as they go, not to mention charging for all that learning time too. And enjoying the playtime.
Can't say much that is negative about the car though since I bought it because of the way it is. You could say that no power steering, no ABS, no ESP, no AC, or other new fancy things would be negative, but to me they are all positives. I guess the one thing would be that I don't think it would be very comfortable driving across this continent with my current car though, wheras I believe I would not have any problems doing so in a 996 or a 997.

I'm not sure if you mean with personal experience or not, so i'll go with personal experience.

Honda S2000 - 2000 model year

My dad had one of these fantastic sports cars back when we lived in Washington state and it was a car he had his eye on for a long time. Finally he was able to purchase one and my overall impression of the year and two month ownership is the car was fantastic but had it's faults (yes faults ;) )

It's a shame i can only list one :t-banghea , most people might say the torque load of this car was it's main problem, me and my dad only found it to be a problem in heavy traffic, but where we lived (Port Orchard, Washington) a small town with just 7,000+ residents and little traffic the car was fine. A long overall trip from Washington state to California revealed once into heavy traffic (Walnut Creek, California @ dinner time) flipping with the some what notchy gearbox (opps another one;) ) to get the torque was somewhat annoying. However the torque load is not my main problem, it is the interior. Fantastic design and ergronomics, but some of the actual peices are less impressive. In particular, the carperting around the main console which looked and felt cheap, some of the plastics a little cheesy and lastly the speakers for the sound system were postioned right beside your knee so everytime you layed your knee to relax it rubbed against the speaker blocking the sound (thankfully, this problem was fixed in the 04 model)

I could list more problems.. but you only asked for one :usa7uh:

I was going with personal experience but of course the Zonda is my favourite car too, so maybe i'll write what i dislike about the Zonda F.

Firsty i love green illumnation for the dash :D

The only thing that i would call negative about the Zonda is that it may have too much torque ;) Not that that's a big problem, in fact i think that's part of this car's appeal, i love it :usa7uh:

But it does leave it two whole seconds behind the Carrera GT on Hockenheim.
