Incase you are wondering we shot in Valencia , Barcelona ( Try to guess which location as used by a multitude of car manufacturers?:eusa_thin
Vienna and the Swiss Alps where our snowboard equipped car had to be put to some good use.

I'm impressed. Did not expect the Mini front-end to lend itself that well to an SUV. But I strongly dislike the colour scheme for that car. It looks like a zebra, there is far too much black and white on the outside -- a bit tacky if I may say so.

Awaiting photos of the car in red, with a white roof and silver rims. The black rims are terrible. Eveything else is smack on.

This looks great.

I predict that the square-ish front lights will be an as big hit as non-round lights were on Porsche...

Weight will be this car's biggest enemy, that is what will make it not MINI. If they can keep the weight well below 1,400 kgs it has a chance.

Then let me be the first to block your glimmer of hope. The X1 23d weigh 1670kg, so the chances of the Mini SUV tipping the scale at 1, 400kg are slim. Furthermore, the Clubman caters to who ever want an agile four seater Mini. So the SUV is free to fat as a 10 years old house cat.

Mind this is a Cooper S model.

Regular models like Cooper (& One) are coming (in official promo pics) with less racing exterior styling details (black-white color scheme, black wheels, black grille, sporty bumpers, sporty exhaust pipes etc).

:t-cheers:

You might be right. But I think it should be less than 1,400 kgs; otherwise they should rename it MIDI. It it can't even keep way below 1,670 kgs... well, MAXI, spring to mind.

The girl or the car?

There is a car?

@ Paris in October you will see a "Performance Concept JCW Countryman" model the one talked about previously.
The proposed "Cayenne Turbo" for the MINI Brand. all lowered with a minimalist performance interior.
It will be part of the "Ultimate" series of MINI which will include the forthcoming Coupe/Roadster which you will see in the MINI brand of camouflage that is now specifically for MINI prototypes around Geneva time.

Cayenne Turbo sounds like the perfect inspiration. Could be great! Furthermore, one can't help but wondering about what Porsche could be the inspiration for the Ultimate Coupe ;)

MINI

Mini (stylized as MINI) is a British automotive brand founded in 1969, owned by German BMW since 2000, and used by them for a range of small cars assembled in the United Kingdom, Austria, and the Netherlands. The word Mini has been used in car model names since 1959, and in 1969 it became a brand in its own right when the name "Mini" replaced the separate "Austin Mini" and "Morris Mini" car model names.
