I am glad the diffuser isn’t painted or else the car would have looked tall and heavy from the rear.

Nice to see the Photos in action..

Still find the whole presentation by Mercedes very poor of this GLE.

Yeah me too, where are the hundreds of pics and videos and behind the scenes looks?

Something makes me wonder if Mercedes is just waiting for BMW’s product blitz to slow down so they can have their time in the light in 2019 with all of their models rolling out.

German configurator is up.
I am glad the base headlamps look decent.

Thankfully there are no ghastly 7" screens available like on the base A or E-class. But the interior needs more leather and trim options imo.

3-4 months. My dealership says the X5 (and 850) arrive next month.

Actually the X5 went on sale earlier that stated. I saw 4 on the road today alone

The new BMWs (8er convert, 3, X7 and X5) are really compelling, but I'm completely turned off on owning any BMW with a the V8 at this point, 3-Series or a 540i M Sport (remote posibility) could work. The 3 and X7 are particularly stunning along with the 8 convertible. I can't wait to see/drive them all, not that I'd buy a big SUV like an X7 though.

I keep hearing that the latest iteration of the N63s have been remedied, but I have my reservations. Just looking at the engine bay you can still see a few components exposed to heat that have been engineered in cheap plastic, which will probably begin to fail after 50-60k miles.

The BMW lineup is almost entirely fresh at the same time, which is something I don’t recall happening in recent memory. When we ordered our X5 the dealership was pretty crowded.

When I saw my first G05 X5 on the road, I honestly thought it was a X3 until I saw the taillights in the rear view mirror. Not saying it’s a bad thing... interesting to note. It’s looks much more compact and athletic than the F15.

The 8er cabrio is nice, but getting 25% of MSRP after 3 years is something I’m not up for again in the near future.

I still can’t fathom why BMW have not been able to fix their 8 cylinder motors. It makes no sense to me...

Agree, the basic trim level in this needs to be comparable to what we get in the E-class (for the USA). I can tell everyone this. When you get to experience MBUX it will blow your mind.
The crazy thing is the first vehicle we've gotten it in is the new Sprinter. The voice command is beyond anything i've seen.

What? how can Germany have the configurator when this will launch in the US first?

MBUSA's handling of their website is awful and totally incompetent. The 2019s are still not up for most models, even the ones that are at dealers already. It’s a crying shame.
