Corvette (C7) [Official] Chevrolet Corvette (C7)

The Chevrolet Corvette (C7) is the seventh generation of the Corvette sports car manufactured by American automobile manufacturer Chevrolet from 2014 until 2019. The first C7 Corvettes were delivered in the third quarter of 2013. The racing variants include the C7.R, which won the GTLM 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Maat, if we got that thing in SA at prices in line with what the Yanks pay relative to cars we have in common... I'd shag that dashboard. It's also a fairly contemporary, safe dash layout too: lots of R8 and now F-Type style design cues in there.

But, ja - if you're a German Car Fan then this, won't meet your expectations. Me on the other hand - I'm not nearly as fussy! ;)

You need to start driving/owning a German car boet, a BMW at that (preferably);):D

Fair comment from you Martin. The Corvette is more of a car I would own/purchase compared to a Skyline GTR. There is definitely a 'boy' who craves U.S. muscle cars in most of us petrol heads and I am certainly one of them. And if you compare apples with apples I would also take the Stingray before any Mustang or Camaro(y)
Yet in the end a 911 (991) or the 2014 M3 will stay 1st choice:D

From some angles it's ugly (mostly looking down) but some other angles it's shockingly beautiful IMO. Interior as always is not the best looking design and if past history is anything to go by it won't win any awards for fit, finish or build but then again is that why you buy a vette in the first place?

Overall I like it but sadly will never own or get to drive one.

Me too but the only so-called muscle car I've ever wanted to own is a Shelby 427 Cobra, the ultimate in car porn.

I like the car, it reminds me of a Ferrari in the front. The back...may take some time to get used to, but like someone said it is very transformer like.

Continuing to be LHD only, that will kill it's appeal in the UK no matter what price it is.

You didn't actually hear or read anything from the press event, right ? they are considering RHD this time. CEO it will be soon, chief engineer said its gonna take a while. Who knows, at least both didn't deny. I personally want a dual clutch.

Unfortunately RHD markets are small, especially for such a niche car like the Vette, even though they might not have said it I doubt a RHD version will ever come to pass.

All aluminum body and CF bonnet and roof... on the standard car.
Lighter and more powerful than the already light and powerful '05 Corvette... damn!
The rear is hideous and I still need to hear the price :)

You must be a real tough sell for rear ends mini_cooper4!;)

Seriously, this could be a game changer regarding performance vs. cost, competing with cars costing more than twice its price.

Finally, a revolutionary design change for the legendary Corvette. Love this car and I can't wait to see it IRL. Welcome to 2013 C7, game on............

Your avatar says it all ;)
I can already see you in the Vette, my Rurella friend

Its alu structure, not full body. Still a fiber glass I believe.
