I've read some rumors that beside usual displacement (4,0 l V8), 4.5 or 4.7 l v8 might come up. Don't know if there is any weight behind those rumors

4.7L Crossplane is what was rumored in the German press as well.

Might be good compromise with much more low end torque.

Yeah ... unfortunately when I read something new is coming and it is full EV I forget about that 2 min after I read it.

Such an engine could be used in the GT Black Series. Other models will continue to use the updated 4-liter M177evo.

Well this is only a rumor I've read. Don't know how accurate it is.

It's a same with BMW V8. Every time new model with v8 is coming, rumors on different forums/magazines, that talks about smaller displacement (usually 4.0 l V8 TT), are starting to pop up.

Nah...that rumor is at least 4-5 years old. But every now and then it pop up. I think only BMW 4.0 l v8 TT is the one from LMDH car (P66/3). Maybe someone thought that it was meant for road cars.

Yeah because S68 is 4.4 still.

It makes sense, If you move your focus from China to other markets, because you see that the domestic products will dominate the market anyway.

The 4L were only important because of the Chinese taxation otherwise they’re bollocks.

I guess the only 4L V8 whose development had nothing to do with China was the S65 M3 engine.

Isn't there also some volumetric efficiency with having a squarish 0.5L cylinder.

There's a reason so many manufacturers use that size cylinder and it can't just be because of China.

I’m glad the car world is deviating attention from China, They really harmed our beloved cars.
