My (sorta) new S Klasse

OK, as a few people may remember, I had posted way back in February or sometime of me (my dad actually) buying an S350 as an 25th Anniversary present for my uncle and aunt. And........

Its finally come!!!

Its dark maroon (forgot the actual name) with Exclusive Passion Leather in Beige with dark wood (again forgot the exact option name). Fully loaded asto whatever options were available(sadly no Distronic+ OR Distronic in India:eusa_doh: ). I just took a short drive of about 20 km yet so can't comment too much on the driving but the interior is just PERFECT :eusa_pray The seats are firm and supple at the same time.
One thing I'm worried about is that the leather will become dirty way too fast in my hands, I was so afraid of spoiling it that I told EVERYBODY who sat in the car to clean themselves off first (since its raining currently in Mumbai). I've become completely paranoid.

P.S. NightView Assist ROCKS!!!!!! I just loooove it and I barely tried it for like 5 minutes and I can already see its actual use. IT IS NOT JUST A GIMMICK (unlike a couple of things in my M IMO)

P.P.S. I don't know about many of you guys but one thing I hate in all Mercedes are the crappy crappy sideview mirrors. They are small and completely unuseful. I don't know how nobody has ever noticed. Even when I drive my C200K, I'm afraid that I'm going to bang into someone if I don't see completely. Theres just too much of a blind spot in these mirrors unlike in the M which are perfect IMO.

P.P.P.S Pictures tomorrow in broad daylight. (not a good photographer so you have to accept whatever I can get)

Sounds great! If that's the maroon colour like in the pics of the W221 in the initial press release, then it'll be great! I'm keen to see the interior, too - also sounds good.

Congrats to you/your family on getting what I think will be an excellent car

As I hadn't mentioned it earlier and people seem to be liking the colour, here are the details:

Exterior Carneol Red
Interior Sahara Beige/Black

The car looks great, looking forward to more pictures!

It must be very very rare also, I recently went to India for a month and saw a W221, but no 7ers, and not a single Audi!

Well, the W221 is quite rare but its really caught on! Just 15 days into start of deliveries, there were about 25 cars. It may not seem much over there but considering the S350 out here costs $180,000, is quite an achievement. I don't know where you travelled to, but in Mumbai (South Mumbai) you can see all kinds of cars from Rolls to Sevens to Cayennes to Range Rovers etc. It isn't all that common but travelling one day youll get to see atleast one of each.

O.T. So how was the trip?

I travelled quite near to Dehli, actually say the car when leaving Delhi on the way to Manali! Saw quite a few C class, the odd E class and about 2 S classes, one BMW 5er, and that was it for nice cars!

The trip was awesome thanks, a great experience to see a different culture. BTW, the weather in India is much nicer than here, nice and hot!:D India seems a great country, and I'd love to visit in 20 years time to see how things have moved on!

Congrats on the car, beautiful man! I know what you're talking about, I'm from Delhi but been to Mumbai a few times, especially the new parts being built (i don't remember what they're called). My cousin's wife's family live there so I was at their house and then we went to Essel World (spelling?)

anyways...Hindi aati hai kya? tera naam kya hai yaar. Mera naam raman hai. teri family kya kar ti hai Mumbai mein? Jhakkas hai yaar, mast gadi rakhi hai.
