Maybach sales numbers

Re: Maybach Sales Figures?

We must also note Rolls-Royce sold 805 cars last year ....and that is the highest number of Rolls-Royces sold for 16 years.

Bentley, however, sold 10,087 last year ...which is the greatest annual sales figure in the company's history

Re: Maybach Sales Figures?

Maybach sold 15 in Jan 07,, wonder if thats an improvement over last year?

Re: Maybach Sales Figures?

I would say that 15 in one month is an improvement sine that would be like 180 units a year, more than last year's total. I wonder if that number is units delivered or ordered?

Re: Maybach Sales Figures Found!!!

2006 ytd : 135
2007 ytd : 131

Warning!

These are US sales figures only!

Eg. RR also sold less cars in US this year, but the total sales worldwide increased.

But nevertheless: RR outsold Maybach almost by 2:1. Ouch.

Re: Maybach Sales Figures Found!!!

They wanted to sell 600 cars each year in the States, 1000 in the world;

I think they sold a bit more than 1000 cars, but since the launch (not sure of that though) ...

RR sells a lot more, that can't be denyed. It is so obvious that Benz does not dare to publish the numbers... Too bad, the car is very good. Just not really beautiful, lacking self-estime and wow-factor, and looking like a big fat S-Class...

Concerning the base, yeah, based on the W140 base, a car that was launched in 1991; because it can wear the insane weight of the Maybach, whereas the W220 base could not... It is nevertheless the best handling and moqst comfortable limo in the world!!! :icondrool

Re: Maybach Sales Figures Found!!!

Wow, I'm shocked that they'd even be close to the same number from last year. That means this car still has some life left in the market. When I saw the title of this thread I just knew the numbers inside would be like 20 or 30 YTD for the U.S. I bet most of what has been sold has been the 57S model.

Bentley and Maserati's numbers are great, especially Bentley's considering the prices they're charging.

MB is out selling VW, gasp. That isn't supposed to be.

I can't understand why Isuzu hasn't left the U.S. market yet. All they sell now are re-badged GM trucks.

Mercedes and BMW sell more in one month than Jaguar has ytd. Almost double in BMW's case. Yikes.

Re: Maybach Sales Figures Found!!!

How nice; in one day we read about Maybach's flop and this about RR:

New quarterly sales figures released today show Rolls-Royce to be 22% ahead of 2006 sales, month-for-month. In fact, sales have been so brisk that the Phantom Drophead Coupe is backlogged until the end of 2008, while the sedan is sold out until at least second quarter of next year. Total sales for 2006 numbered just 805 cars, but with price tags sometimes reaching US$500,000 or more, and base prices above $300,000, even small volumes generate a lot of revenue. Based on the increase over last year, production should exceed 1000 for the first time in 2007.

Re: Maybach Sales Figures Found!!!

That RR is outperforming MM in sales is not a surprise: their product is far far more superior.

Maybach Hikes Prices of 2008 Models by $3,500

MONTVALE, N.J. — Despite disappointing U.S. sales, Maybach has raised prices on its 2008 lineup. The 2008 Maybach 57 starts at $341,750, including a $2,750 destination charge, reflecting a $3,500 price increase over the 2007 model. The top-of-the-line 2008 Maybach 62 S starts at $432,250, including shipping, reflecting a $3,500 price increase over the outgoing model.

The base 2007 Maybach 57 with a 5.5-liter V12 and a five-speed automatic transmission started at $338,250.

The 2008 Maybach pricing strategy positions the ultra-luxe Mercedes-Benz brand virtually neck-in-neck with Rolls-Royce's Phantom sedan. The 2008 Phantom sedan starts at $342,000, including a $2,000 destination charge.

The midrange 2008 Maybach 57 S starts at $381,250, while the Maybach 62 starts at $392,750, including shipping.

When Maybach first hit the U.S. market six years ago, it set an initial sales target of approximately 600 units per year. But sales have been disappointing, with less than150 units sold in 2006.

What this means to you: It seems counterintuitive to raise prices on the slow-selling Maybach. Is added expense supposed to make it even more desirable to the affluent elite?

I guess these increases are not going to worry the clientèle too much.

What is the depreciation like on a Maybach -- like how much would an unsold 2006 Maybach 57 cost me in the USA as opposed to a 2007 model?

Mercedes-Maybach

In November 2014, Daimler announced the revival of the Maybach name as a sub-brand of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222), positioned as an upscale version akin to the more sporty Mercedes-AMG sub-brand.
