Vs Fifth Gear Audi TT RS vs Porsche Boxter S vs Nissan 370Z

For me that would be the priority order among all three;

1: Nissan 370Z - Value + I've always loved the front engine Rwd formula. Imo, if Z was manual, it could have done better!
2: Audi Tt-Rs - Could be the best car among all three, but can never deliver the excitement & joy of a Rwd... Ever!
3: Porsche Boxster S - Don't even bother mentioning the Boxster! A Cayman could have easily changed positions here!

Having had a few Boxsters I can do nothing but love them, though given the choice of the three and the climate I live in there is only one I would choose.

TT-RS. :t-cheers:

P.S.
Did anyone else come away for that video feeling that Fifthgear was taking the mick out of Ben Collins (the Stig) with the constant 'oh give me one more chance' remark. ;)

But of course. You don't have to say these things anymore, because we all know by now that you have driven every possible German car, in every possible combination. Oh btw, did I say driven??? I mean owned. You have owned every Geman car, and thus you are the one who knows the most, by far.... [rolls_eyes]

From these three, TT RS for me. Nissan never, and the Boxter is too feminine for me.
Now if that Boxter was a Cayman....instant first place of course. But a la, it's a Boxter instead......

I noticed that too. With stig status I find it very odd that he forgot to turn of TC on the drift lap. Funny thing is just before he begins doing the drift lap they show him doing a burnout on the track (probably warming up his tires) which isnt possible when TC is switched on. Just made me ponder, perhaps they're purposely using Ben Collins as a battering ram :eusa_thin

Hell yeah! I mean it failed in every test, but hey at least it's cheap!

Yeah, but it's a NISSAN, so it will depreciate faster than accelerates and it's not as good as the other two, which explains why it was defeated.

Ah, but it's cheap you say. Welly, welly, welly, welly, welly, welly, well... guess what? So is eating a Big Mac, mate! And neither the big mac or the Nissan are going to satisfy you completely.

Oh and the Nissan may be cheaper to buy than the other two, but it costs more to run than the Germans. There it goes you argument of value for money down the drain, oh dear!

I think the Boxster is the only one I would consider. Sorry, saw that there was a TT-RS in there as well. That makes it two possible candidates.

These Fifth gear tests are so stupid OMG.
well oh well...

I'd take the Audi. I love 4 wheel drive. (and the soundtrack is awsome!)
It feels safe and I like it safe... :)

Btw: Ironic that the TT has the least feminine design...
That's not often the case.

Of course they are stupid, like how often in their comparison tests have they used powersliding as one of the important categories. Who in their right mind thinks this is a necessary thing when using the car on the public road, even on the track it has no valid importance because it slows your lap time dramatically. Then their was the agility test set out like an autotest, seriously, is this truly comparing the cars. Only the lap gave any valid data in my opinion.

Guys, leave the entertainment to Topgear as they do it much better and turn yourself into a proper motoring show.

I think a few of our Norwegian members would disagree regarding the use of powerslides on track.

Please search for Rudskogen + Gatebil on Youtube for further information :D

Can't recall an F1 race being won by the guy powersliding he's way round. ;) But then again I don't watch it that often anymore. :D

They should have done a straight line drag race instead of that drift shit

They couldn't do that, that would have meant Audi would have won 2 tests out of 3 and beat the Porsche. Such things aren't allow don't you know. :eusa_doh:

Wao -Wao - Wao! I didn't mean to disrespect German (or any) brands. Never did, never will. Everyone is open to make their own choices, so did I. Peace out.

Talking about the a pocket-rocket for 2. The following will be my choice, hands down! And I picked 370Z here cuz' its the closest thing to Z4. Front-engine - Rwd.

:t-cheers:

While drifting itself has little application, a car's "driftability", is a good indication of how controllable it is on throttle, how precise the steering is and how well balanced the chassis is - all essential ingredients for a good driver's car. I can't think of even one good driver's car that is not also good at drifting - GT3, R8, M3, Elise/Exige, Cayman/Boxster... all of them excel at it.
