F1 Ferrari vs Talent

Has ferrari brought in a talent to f1 even ONCE in the last decade or so?

Schumacher started at Jordan

All in all from all ferrari World champions only Ascari was a own product..
Everyone else came from else where..

Imo that sucks..they are like Real Madrid and Chelsea..to much money so they buy drivers..instead of raise drivers..

PS
I know that this is the case for most big teams..but atleast the others have 1 or 2 who debuted on the team..

For example Hamilton and Alain Prost

What do you guys think about all this..do you like teams that bring in young talent and fresh faces to F1..
Or do you like this Ferrari approach..?

Not having to raise talents is the benefit of being Ferrari. They save money, effort and they still get to pick whichever driver they want.

Why do they have to when they can pretty much get their pick of drivers, even in a crappy year like this.

The big questions is, do they want to? They did develop Massa tho.

Massa came from Sauber..

PS
They dont have to.. not at all..
But i personally appreciate teams that give new guys the chance instead of using the old rats..
I guess ferrari isnt one of them

Ferrari wants to win, and raising an uncertain talent is too much of a gamble. If you want to win(get a Finn they say) just get the race-proven guy and maximise the chance of winning. And this is what Ferari does.

I know Massa came from Sauber. But he failed there and was fired. Ferrari took him and developed him into a WDC contender now.

Btws, i remember reading somewhere December last year, Ferrari were testing and eyeing this 17 yr old Italian chap. I think he drove Kimi's F2007 and clocked one of the fastest laps around Fiorano.

Massa failed at Sauber- the first time I am hearing it.
I don't think he was fired at Sauber- I could be wrong.
