i took my cuzins E 55 for a cruise yesterday , and all i can say what an AMAZING CAR ... its a missile in straight lines ...

IMO the E55 is faster than both CLS 55 AMG and M5 from 0-100 mph...

edit: what a stupid driver ...

in your opinion? not according to european carmags. these three were tested by the same driver and same carmag.

but do you have a comparison CLS55 vs E55 done the same day by same driver and same carmag? No point taking numbers from different carmags done at different times. We all know there are several factors when meassuring acceleration.

Stick or SMG but no auto should drive on that baby!

No, I don`t. Fact is I have never seen a car mag test the E55 and CLS55 together. That would be like comparing a brother and sister.
You know the parents wouldn`t like that.

I`d like to see that to. CLS55 would probably win cause it`s newer and has better dynamics. This is the first AMG model thats really serious about it`s performance, other AMG models will improve like the CLS55.

I am sure they will but if MB doesn't develop a SMG, DSG, like system I highly doubt that their cars will perform like the Audi's or BMW's. Nevertheless, wait one minute! I don't think it is MB's goal to make a sports sedan but something more along the lings of a luxury sedan.

True, thay are luxury cars first. I don`t think MB has something like SMG in the wings for the AMG models. Thay already modified the G7 which shifts 35
to 40% faster than the already excellent G7. That should work wonders for the 515hp upcoming E63 and CLS63 models, and these models will have paddle shifters like the S65. Something MB owners will like.

Remember the interview with the AMG boss. AMG is developing a DSG but it will take some time before the development is finished and producton ready for the cars.

GO E55 lol, looks like thats 2 magazines against 1 lol, may be the first mag had a biased driver lol or he was a n00b, either way E55 owns! come on E63!!!!!
