the M3 belong to a racingdriver. If you are a good driver you can beat a RS6. the RS6 has turbo and automatic, it takes time for the RS6 before the speed gain. Until then the M3 already created a gap thats hard to catch. Also the M3 has exhaust but it only gain 10 extra hp.
If it was a race from standstill the RS6 would take the lead. Rolling starts are different.

A rs6 is a lot heavier as well. there is nothing weird at all. You saw the video and RS6.com were there to witness it all. BTW this race took place 2003.

Maybe this is easier for you to understand why its not so easy to catch up on a M3 if the gap is too big. Turbo spool and Automatic and weight isnt always a advantage. They are pretty similar to 200km/h as you can see by the numbers I posted from diverse carmags.

230km/h and higher the more powerful RS6 will leave the M3. tha tIm sure off but below that it wont be easy.

I hope you saw me, "BMW fanboy", like some people calling me, telling to JM (also BMW fanboy ), no way, it can't be true that M3 beats the mighty RS6...
