BMW and its rivals have shifted production to higher-margin models as output has been hampered by the semiconductor shortage and other supply-chain problems.

BMW said earnings rose 12 percent in the first quarter even as the war in Ukraine and COVID lockdowns in China disrupted the automaker’s supply chain.

Group earnings before interest and taxes rose to 3.39 billion euros ($3.6 billion) in the first quarter, the company said Thursday.

You've quoted also the numbers of the iX and i4 in other threads. But the numbers don't match. BMW EVs total 26 364, iX3 i3 and i8 are 13 237, so the rest 13 127 should be i4 and iX. There is a difference of more than 6 000 units, when the quoted by you sales of the i4 and iX are considered.

"iX3 i3 and i8 are 13 237" is wrong. It is iX, not iX3 -

'' Due to the full consolidation of BBA the Group financial result, in particular, saw a strong increase to € 8,836 million (2021: € 732 million). This is due to a preliminary profit of € 7.7 billion from the revaluation of the existing stake held in BBA. At the same time, the at-equity result decreased (2022: € 260 million, 2021: € 429 million/-39.4%), since earnings from BBA were only included until 10 February 2022, due to full consolidation after that date.''

There is a gain of 2.3 billion euros, excluding the contribution of BBA.
