With the IAA approaching fast I was wondering, if BMW has scheduled press dates/announcements before the actual show begins...Some other manufacturers are already coming out of the woods by leaking/presenting what they have up in the sleeves.
If they show the X6 or some derivative of it, I might drive up to Frankfurt ..

BMW usually issue a press release approx a week before IAA begins. Yet such release usually does not contain the most interesting premieres (eg. Concept cars). Additional press releases (incl. the most interesting premieres, info) are issued on a day when IAA press conference is scheduled.

:t-cheers:

IAA Premieres:

- Facelifted 6er coupe & 6er cabrio (incl. 635d)
- 520i & 520d
- 3er with new I4 & I6 engines
- M3 coupe
- 1er coupe (new 1er engines: 116i & 123d)
- X5 3.0sd
- X3 2.0d
- EfficientDynamics features across the model line
- Crash-active (anti-whiplash) headrests
- 6er Individual Virtuoso (incl. High End Audio System)

why all this secret? Just tell what will be shown. Those cars will sell anyway and need no marketing strategies.

I am sure this is not all they will show (I hope not). These are probably the 'Premieres' in the sense that these will go on sale now or in the coming weeks. Not even the M3 is on that list...
They will surely show some 'Hybrid thingy' , maybe show again the CS concept and ... well you know what I am hoping for ;)

According to Chris Bangle (in the video I just posted in the X6 thread) the X6 will be shown in Frankfurt :t-cheers: :eusa_clap Here we go

Of course M3 will be there. I forgot to put it on the list. :eusa_doh:

Regarding Concepts, or some other surprises: BMW announce & show them on a press conference at Motorshow, and usually release a PR on the same day.

All I want to see there is a CSL and I dont want to hear the crap, only VIP could see the car :t-crazy2:

X6 Concept will be there as well. Perhaps even with Hybrid drive, since everybody is bringing hybrids there.

Regarding M6 CSL Concept - perhaps in Tokyo (Autoshow in October).

VIP guests usually get the oppurtunity to see the cars coming to the market in the next months. 1er cabrio & X6 will definitely be shown. Perhaps even M3 cabrio or sedan.

I wonder if BMW is going to show MINI DieselHybrid Concept at IAA. :t-hands:
