Yannis, isn't that a S-line A4? Or even S4?

Audi is using such front bumper design for S-line & S models lately ...

:t-hands:

Btw, both looking good. I'm sure 3er will be facelifted in early 2008. :D Better be!

That is not how the next A4 will be look like. Not even close.

BTW that thing with radical facelifts has to stop so i hope BMW makes only subtle changes to 3 series.

Yes that's true, also the A4 will look better than that.
That's becasue the Audi looks like an S or RS model, the Benz would look bad ass too with an AMG kit. Very good chops though.

Give me the Merc. Audi uses the same headlight and grill design across the entire lineup which is rather boring!

Merc might have the same idea but there are differences in the between the higher and lower models.

I predict the new style MB's, while very nice designs, will age quite quickly with the abundant superflous detailing. That is not to say they will age terribly.

^lol i feel the same about audi..they are at a first glance beautiful.. and striking..but the new MB´s arent that..they where before..but not now..
now u need to let the design grow on you..
imo that is a good formula for aging well

One could just as easily argue that this C class chop looks like not much more than a scaled-down S class.

Give the Audi-bashing a rest, Audi have improved vastly over the past decade, their cars are well designed and good-looking. I like Audi's clean looks.

That's what I said ages ago ....to much derision I recall.

In regards to both TA's and Roberto's comments:

Audi has a very progressive design philosiphy, much like Porsche but not based around any one particular shape (the 911). As where all the other major players in the German premium car sector are excersising radicalism, tip toe-ing around in unchartered, pretentiousness, Audi holds the line with refinement. There's something to be said for that, I can't recall one Audi in any music video, not even a TT.

I recall the sentiment being shared. It seems that whenever there's a new car launch you have the "love or hate it" crowd, no inbetween. Here we have pretty die-hard brand loyalists, in combination with the "love or hate it" mentality, any comment you make is going to elicit some sort of reaction on either side, but you're guaranteed a passionate reply.

We're comparing two cars that aren't even out yet, that aren't even official yet. What a grand waste!
