Are there any of these about cause I wanna read more about the 997 GT3 RS. Maybe its not getting enough exposure due to the 997TT, even though its a faster car?

It probably hasn't gotten as much press as the 997 Turbo because the Turbo is such an iconic car and important (plus the new technology). The RS name is iconic as well, but in a different way. I don't know if they've released the GT3 RS yet, though.

The RS isn't getting much exposure because it is only a press release from Porsche so far. Journalists have not been invited to drive the car yet. Porsche hasn't even decided how many they will produce yet. They do not want to get stuck in the same situation they did with the CGT. They are currently polling dealers to see how many orders they have for RS, and how many of these orders are from people who own Porsches, not just speculators. The RS is to start arriving in North America in March 2007, so I think we'll see more media coverage and road tests around January, maybe December.

I think he was getting another orange car, although I'd probably get green unless it was green with orange decals/wheels. My brother likes the idea of for some reason because he says "Who cares? It's a racecar."

I'm leaning towards Orange, but with two other orange cars and maybe an orange diamondback viper, that may be too much orange in which case I'd get green. Plus my father may get a RS now and he wants an orange one, so I can't see two orange ones together. I've got at least a few more months to decide.

Thanks for those pics. In a way I wish the RS was going to come in white with the blue or red graphics and wheels so that it is more of a direct visual connection with the 73 RS, like the 996 RS was.

Since I've never seen one on the streets... when you buy the RS, does it come with that decal on the side? Or can you have it without!?
