Isn't this a little extreme? :t-crazy2:

When you hug a woman...of course your chest will touch her breasts. :jpshakehe

The English translation from Google is horrible, so I took some time to do it properly. :t-cheers:

(A FOUR YEAR-OLD WAS ACCUSSED OF SEXUAL HARASSEMENT FOR EMBRACING A WOMAN AND ACCIDENTALLY TOUCHING HER BREASTS. THE BOY WAS SUSPENDED FROM SCHOOL.)

(SUPPOSEDLY, HE RUBBED HIS FACE IN HER BREASTS AS HE HUGGED HER. OTHER REPORTS SAY THE BOY TOUCHED THE WOMAN AS HE WAS ENTERING A LINE GOING INTO A SCHOOLBUS.)

(THE PRINCIPAL OF THE SCHOOL IMMEDIATELY HANDLED THE SITUATION. IN A LETTER TO THE PARENTS OF THE FOUR YEAR OLD, HE ACCUSSED THE KID OF "IMMORAL BODY BEHAVIOR" AND MENTIONED "SEXUAL KONATCT AND SEXUAL HARASSMENT" IN THE LETTER. ASIDE FROM THIS, THIS INCIDENT WILL GO ON HIS SCHOOL RECORD.)

(THE FATHER OF KID DOESN'T UNDERSTAND WHY HIS SON IS BEING REPRIMANDED FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS.)

(THE SCHOOL BOARD SENT OUT ANOTHER LETTER IN WHICH THEY ACCUSSED THE BOY OF "UNWELCOME SEXUAL BODY CONTACT". THIS INCIDENT WILL ALSO GO ON THE BOYS RECORD.)

(THE SCHOOL BOARD CLAIMED THAT THERE ARE NO SPECIFIC RULES FOR SUCH BEHAVIOR IN PLACE. HOWEVER, DO THE NATURE OF THE INCIDENT, HARSH ACTIONS WERE TAKEN.)

(WEIRD CASES LIKE THIS ARE ALL TOO COMMON IN THE USA. IN THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA, A WOMAN HAD HER SON ARRESTED BECAUSE HE OPENED AND PLAYED WITH HIS PRESENTS BEFORE CHRISTMAS. THE 12 YEAR OLD WAS ARRESTED BY POLICE AND DRIVEN TO JAIL IN HAND CUFFS.) <---- REALLY RETARDED. :t-crazy2:

(IN CALIFORNIA, AN 11 YEAR OLD GIRL HAD TO SPEND 5 DAYS IN A YOUTH CRIME CENTER AND 30 DAYS AT HOME WITH ELECTRIC HAND CUFFS BECAUSE SHE THREW STONES AT A BOY.)

A YEAR AGO, A 5 YEAR OLD WAS ARRESTED IN A KINDERGARDEN IN FLORIDA (WITH HAND CUFFS) BECAUSE SHE DIRTIED THE CLASSROOM WALLS WITH A GUMMI BEAR. BECAUSE THE GIRLS MOTHER COULDN'T MAKE IT TO THE SCHOOL ON TIME, THE SUPERVISOR HAD THE GIRL ARRESTED.)

no offense to the US crowd here..but storys like this doesent really help the bad rep of US around the world..
these storys are amazingly stupid..
they should arrest everyone involved with putting cuffs or imprisoining a child..

I agree that some of these things are a bit ridiculous but this kind of stuff does not only happen in the US, and there is certainly a lot worse going on in other places around the world...

sure but other places does not go out and belive that they are the best in the world..and most civilisized...wich is often the case with the US..

I'm not sure any other civilized & democratic country (like USA definitely like to promote itself) arrests 4-year old children, accusing them of sexual harassment. :D

We are talking about a democratic & civilized country here: USA. Not some Sudan or Myanmar or etc where - yes - children are killed, abused, molested, arrested, enslaved every single day.

What's next? Accusing a 1.5-year baby of sexual harassment because he still wants to be breast-fed yet "normal" norm is till 1 year? :t-crazy2:

I was amazed by the Janet Jackson's tit story. I'm amazed & worried by a civilized & democratic society who thinks a tit (or sex or nudity) is a major threat to a children, while at the same time children are allow to use uncle's gun to practice shooting.

Sometimes I'm so sad seeing American society to be so sexually oppressed.

I agree to an extent, but you must remember that these are not common occurences and in these rare instances they are often just judgement calls by local school officials, these are not federal or state laws doing this. And I guarantee you there are just as much ridiculous things going on in "civilized and democratic" nations, they just are not as publicized as much as they are in the United States.

just a reminder, dont add politics or religion into this thread. Such things are not allowed on this board.

THIS was not big deal over here in Europe. When us Europeans heard about this, saw it on TV and in the news, we just shook our head and wondered what's so offensive about a bare nipple.

When I go swimming at the local swimming pools or lakes, there are many people who bathe half nude, including girls my age who are topless (for total nudity, you need to go to FKK beaches): NO BIG DEAL. Breastfeeding in public here is no big deal either. :usa7uh:

I touch womens breasts all the time, everytime they bitchslap me, I wonder why :t-rot:

Naughty naughty naughty Andreas...

No one is accusing USA of anything. :t-cheers:

Why are you so overprotective? :t-hands:

We are just saying this news & incident is ridiculous. And it just coincidentally happened in US. Yes, it would be just as ridiculous if it happened in eg. Canada, or Germany. :D

Btw, have been in USA for a few months in 2003 (New Jersey), and in Canada for a few weeks (Toronto). And I still can't believe what a cultural difference (difference in attitude & values). Canada being much more "European" and relaxed. Maybe post 9/11 hysteria was a cause for such a difference. :t-hands: Haven't experienced US vs Canada situation before 9/11 though.

It depends on specific countries. Eg. more Catholic ones are much more strict (eg Ireland, Poland etc).

But in general in most of Europe nudity (and sex) are not big deal. Btw, I've even seen Russian tourists (girls) in Dubai (Islam laws implied there) parading in shopping malls very "insufficiently dressed", and no one cared!

Like I said: I'm surprised US society (generally) is so puristic. :t-hands: I guess orthodox Christian groups have something to do with it (regarding also orthodox Christian European countries are also more strict).

Btw, there is nothing wrong with nudity & sex. Eg. in our country kids are taught in elementary schools about procreation - looking at nude pics of man & woman body in their textbooks, being told SEX / intercoures leads to procreation!

OK, we are getting (or maybe only I :D ) to political ...

Eni, where are you from?

Over here, nudity on TV is no big deal. Kids here will see movies where you can see pubic hair and breasts. No big deal at all. Studies have actually shown that growing up in such an environment lessens sexual tensions. ;)

The biggest misconception is that Canada & the US are the same. While there are some similarities (we both speak English in certain parts of our respective countries & we both drive LHD cars on the right side of the road), we're quite distinct.

Having travelled extensively in the States, I can tell you that 9/11 didn't change much for the general public in the US. What you experienced in 2003 would probably have been much the same pre-9/11.

I appologize if I came off as overprotective, no more than any other person from any country I suppose.

I said I did agree with you, because frankly I am very disappointed at some of the things that happen in this country, and I know what I would blame it on but nevermind.

We also gotta question where this article came from though. I find it hard to believe that a woman got her own son arrested because he opened presents. That's pushing it.
