I think cars like the Maybach and Phantom are more about fantasy ...they are not designed with the same parameters as the S class -- they kind of exist in a world (or context) that is more illusion than reality. The S class is a 'real world' car -- designed to meet genuine requirements rather than appeal to ones senses or imagination.

LOL ...many times. I envy my sister, she gets chauffeured to her job in an E class (I guess it's better than nothing:D ) ...I do not really require one but I hate using trains and busses sometimes ...but I do avoid the big problem of parking :). I think I would like my own driver;) ...but I can't decide what car I would like -- I have thought about an A6.

I'm right in the middle. I don't like the fact that they are ran by marketeers rather than mechanics and the fact that they lack passion, as in the german car makers. On the other hand they are very successfull and healthy company with many interesting models.

9. Your honest opinion of Alfa-Romeo?

I just love this brang. They have great design and even greater history. This brand represents the italian spirit in terms of the design. The sad thing is that they lack this little "spark" that would make them much more competitive and would bring them against the germans. I wish this brand had the passion of its glorious past.

10. Should DCX get rid of Chrysler?

Hell yes! The sooner, the better!

11. Would you have liked to have seen BMW buy Aston instead of Prodrive?

Yes. This would be the easiest way to bridge the gap between the upscale BMWs and Rolls-Royce. Just imagine a combination of AM design with BMW engines, quality and technology.

Volvo S60 and Renault Clio I

In my opinion, there can't be a man who is the most influential in the automotive world. There must me many, in all departments, of engines, design and company leading.
