The Q2 is a class below. I presume Mercedes will eventually have chunkier contender than the GLA which resembles an A-Class "All-Terrain".

The more I see it the more awkward it gets, the numbers show the size isn't that small,in fact very wide in class, but the car just looks too narrow and compact/short,stance sits too high, very weird looking.

            There's the "GLB" mini-G wagen that's coming.

Meeh, remove some styling makeup and you will find a very basic and generic design. The concept was a much stronger proposition.

Only downside I have to bring up is the hood shutline.

Sorry guys. I dislike this so very much, and I find it to be unacceptable on a new car in 2017 (I am looking at you too, X2)!

              Damn Volvo for inventing this.

I'm not fan. The F-Pace looks better. But I don't like the X1, GLA, Q3,...:meh:

              The main problem. It's overweight.

If I got it right. Compared to Evoque they replaced read McPherson with multilink?

For us in Europe more interesting are diesel engines. 2.0 single turbo with 150 and 180 HP, 2.0 twin-turbo with 240 HP.

I expect a lot from it design wise.

I'll have to see the Jaguar in person to see how well it pulls off this look off. It looks a bit like a caricature in some photos but really good in others. The BMW looks far better in those photos above than most of the variants you actually see on the road.

In terms of interior style the Jag has the BMW beat. The BMW looks like a deliberate cheapening of the BMW interior design theme to leave some breathing space for the X2 and X3.

The centre console on the X1 is entry level in both looks and and feel. Unlike the Jag it doesn't either have Nappa leather as an option and neither does the X3. I would expect the X1 to have better build quality in some areas of the cabin.

Wouldn't the X2 use the X1 interior? I actually fail to see why there even needs to be an X2, an X1 with a more swoopy butt and less space for more money, didn't they learn from the X4?

There were other producers that utilized that futuristic hood shutline long before Volvo

Volvo was the first using the modern day packaging and manufacturing techniques we have today.

Australian roads maybe, and those have little to do with European roads.

X2 will be identical to X1 from the inside. And yeah, it's cheap.

It's the ultimate kitten. Looks better than the F Pace in some pics. Interior looks better too.
