Poll 2015's Battle of the Super Sports GTs...

So in that order... And here is why... Basically i hated the mclaren just as much as i hated the new R8... But at least the front in the r8 looks good, the macca just looks fugly from every single angle to my eyes (when i first saw it, honestly the first thing that came up to my mind was a hippo, just dont ask me why). The r8, well, audi destroyed what was awesome! It now actually looks like a mid engined tt, which i dont think its cool for the price... The merc, well while i like its looks and all, its too low on power compared to its rivals, like 503 hp max? Thats shamefull for me at least... Now the Porsche... Love the looks, performs like a dream... Other than more exclusivity, what else could i ask for? I got the chance last week to visit a Porsche dealer here in Rio, and i gotta say the cars are outstanding inside-out! Quality is amazing, interior feel is suberb! The whole thing is awesome! I guess i can say it was the best car experience i've ever had! Best of all, just like in NYC, i got extremelly well received in store, differently from the time i stopped by Ferrari in NYC... In fact, when i asked the salesman if i could hop in the 911CS and the cayman s that were in store he said i should've already hopped in those! My conclusion on the experience is that, for me at least, Porsche is the best car company in existence! They simply nail every aspect!
Im like blown away by Porsche!!!!!!!!

I had a hard time thinking whether putting AMG or McLaren at number 1. The AMG GTs is the only one I've driven so far. So that's my number 1

I find the new R8 horrible, I don't like the McLaren, and while I like some elements of the AMG, the rear isn't to my taste, let alone that over designed interior.
So the 911 for me. I would sell it though, and get a 911 GTS and buy a hot hatch and a Subbie Outback with the difference

I wanted answer this poll the first moment I saw it, but I'm having a very hard time deciding which one I would actually spend my money on. Of course, I'm biased, as I already own the sports car that I want so this poll to me is more about this: if the GT3 didn't exist or was not available anymore, then which of these cars would I want? The truth is that I would have chosen something like the 991 GTS, 991 GT3 RS, or Cayman GT4......but those are not options here.

From the options in this poll, it's not the Audi that I want.....mainly because of subjective cosmetic reasons......I never really found the original R8 to be very pretty car, and new one is even less attractive to me.....it's lost some of those sexy curves in the body and looks a bit too dull/angular from some angles.

It's also not the 991 Turbo/S, even though I LOVE my 991 GT3, because I just don't get that "wow" factor when I see it, and the reviews of the car suggest a bit of a clinical experience (even though it's wicked fast in virtually any situation). I have to admit that the 991 Turbo is the most practical choice here....rear seats and AWD to enjoy in any weather.

So that leaves the AMG or the McLaren......this is a tough one. From a cosmetic point of view, I prefer the rear mid engine proportions of the 570S more than the front mid engine design of the GT-S......somehow I'm still not blown away from that long font hood. But the rear of the 570S is still a bit awkward looking to me. From a performance point of view, my guess is that the McLaren will blow the AMG away.

Putting everything together, I think I would choose the McLaren......not something I would have predicted before thinking about this in detail.

I still want the 570s, but I concede that the Porsche is really just an astounding beast, and far better "all-rounder". As long as the question isn't worded so that this isn't the "only" car I'm allowed to have I would still choose the McLaren...gosh it's gorgeous.

AMG GT without a doubt. Then it's a toss up between the R8 and the McLaren. While I love the Porsche, it's not looking as good as the others even if the performance is on par.

R8 V10 Plus vs. 570S vs. GT3 RS vs. Vantage V12 S
AND
F-Type R vs. AMG GT vs 911 Turbo vs. GT-R Black

Not sure how a $130k front-engine, rear-drive turbo V8 car (AMG GT) compares with a $200k mid-engine, AWD, NA V10 car...

Well, it grew on me so i have to change the order here... It even makes Me confused about which i'd pick so here it goes...
1-Porsche or Mclaren
2-Amg gt
3-Audi

This is driving me crazy!!! The R8 grew on me even when i swore it wouldnt!!! It actually came to grow more then the 570s for the interior (well i guess thats on everyone here, the 650s interior is aahhh... Cheap looking and way too simple for a supercar) so last, definitive chamge here...

1-Porsche
2-Audi or mclaren (mainly because where one fails the other picks up the line... It goes like, while the performance on the macca is stellar, the interior, where u pretty much spend most of your time is numb for me. The audi has the perfect interior, everywhere you look, but it lacks torque in comparison to its rivals, despiting the fact of having the most amount of power here in V10 plus guise, which doesnt really makes it the fastest, and thats where the macca comes in... As for exterior looks, turns out i like both pretty much the same, while the macca looks more exotic, the r8 brings iron man to my mind, and yes i love iron man and would love to feel like im iron man behind the steering wheel of the r8!)
3-mercedes (well it grew on me for some time but settled down...)

Now as some of u know, i tend to change my mind really fast, @mini_cooper4 and @Gianclaudio... So dont be surprised if the r8 takes the porsche's place (which i honestly doubt after visiting the dealer and sitting in a 911, gawwwd what a car, i'll attach some pics of it!!!), but as u know, i am me, and me being me this kind of thing happens

Well it wasnt a turbo s, was a c2s vert... I just cant see the audi takin the porsche's place when i look at that pic

Turbo S, R8 V10, AMG GT & struggling in last place the McLaren.

570s imo is incredibly fussy looking & over designed; looks like some old cow with too much make up on. Will grow old real fast this one.

The rest are fine looking super sports. But AMG, you don't bring your little pea shooter to face the Turbo S' gatling gun. You just dont. Go get something bigger.

For me that leaves just the Turbo S & the R8 and since the 911 can do no wrong in my eyes, I vote Turbo S.

Roughly eight hours after posting my rankings of the super sports, I stumble on Jethro doing his thing over @ Evo. I feel vindicated...

Turbo S is freaking awesome. None of these would stand a chance against it.
