S-Class Convertible concept is strongly rumoured, and has been for some time.

The M3/Panamera concepts & C will most likely make it in Geneva.

P.S. Keep in mind the show is a bit far away, so these are mostly rumours that I've collected here and there. I'll adjust the list as the show approaches and concrete data becomes available.

Re: 2007 North America International Auto Show [NAIAS]

The C-Class will be at Geneva, and I really hope the rumor mill is wrong about S-Class convertible. Period. The Caddy CTS will be a totally new car, not a facelift. Can't wait to see it.

As usual, I'll be there camera in hand!!!!!

Hyundai Veracruz Revealed to the Press

Hyundai presented the brand new Veracruz to the Korean press today. Can't say I'm excited from the pictures, as the Veracruz looks more like a stretched Santa Fe with "egg eyes" rather than a new upmarket SUV. In Korea the 7seater Veracruz will be offered in 2WD & 4WD versions, both fitted with a 3.0 V6, 240 Hp engine. While it's already announced that the US version will get a 3.8 V6 powerplant, for Europe, it's still uncertain if the Veracruz will come at all.

ChangFeng bringing Chinese SUVs to NAIAS

With China's Geely out of the picture for now, it looks like Chang Feng will be the Chinese representative in Detroit next year. Dow Jones reports that Chang Feng will bring four vehicles to NAIAS 2007. Chang Feng is expected to show up with two Liebao (Chinese for Cheetah) branded pickup trucks and two SUVs. Photos and details are scarce, as you might expect from China. The above photo is Chang Feng's Cheetah concept, unveiled at the 2005 Shanghai Auto Show. Currently, Chang Feng produces licensed Mitsubishi designs.

Chang Feng chairman JianXin Li says his company plans to begin selling cars stateside sometime within the next decade.

Formerly known as No. 7319 Factory of Chinese People's Liberation Army Chang Feng Co. Ltd., Chang Feng reorganized in 1996 and says it is on track to produce 200,000 vehicles by next year, which would be twice its current output.

Re: 2007 North America International Auto Show [NAIAS]

BMW: E93 3er cabrio

RR: Corniche (convertible)

MINI: expect some news next week :usa7uh:

Also, at any forthcoming big auto show BMW can surprise us with a concept (X6, F5, Z8 successor, 2er coupe / shooting brake / targa), and presentations of new technologies (ConnectedDrive features, EfficientDynamics features etc) .

Btw, M3 Concept will be shown in geneva.

Re: 2007 North America International Auto Show [NAIAS]

Thanks Tine. List updated accordingly.

Regarding the Mini... are you referring to the Sidewalk version?

:usa7uh:

The plan is to highlight cabrios at NAIAS: MINI, BMW & RR.

Mini Sidewalk Cabrio, E93 3er, Corniche. 3 cabrios, 3 different philosophies.

Also: rumours about S-class convertible concept forced BMW AG to rethink Corniche debute. Corniche will be in Detroit but can end in VIP saloon only. RR wants all spotlights exclusively for Corniche only. S-class cabrio can spoil that plan. Final decision will be - as usually - made few days before the show. PR is coming in early January though.
