Shakal, have you considered the E93 335? Looking at the global recession, I think now would be a great time to pick one up, I think the 335 is flawless and would take one in a heartbeat.

well we're all very frustrated but it's just beacause we love our favorite brand and we put great expectations in this new dreamcar...

BMW Power: I don't like E93, for me E92 looks better and weight is lower...

According to bimmerfile.com , E89 will be released today or tommorow , I hope they're right...

The MINI Cab released is the old version, with Chrysler-engines etc.
But the new MINI, available since late 2006, has not been released as a cab yet. The new one does look very similar to the old one, but practically everything you can't see from the outide is new, e.g. engine etc. pp.
And this "new" MINI Cab will be at the dealers in early 2009. But pictures have already been shown by BMW at one of the last autoshows.

Anyway, I hope we will see official pics of the Z4 soon. Very soon...

That doesn't mean that there won't be the E89 at LA.
Remember the Paris Mondial 2008 preview : there was no Concept X1 initially!

OK people I think you should just expect to see it before the end of the year, that way you won't be disappointed every time pictures don't get released on a rumored deadline...

I agree unfortunately. I havent been getting my hopes up anymore. The marketing on the this car's pre-release has been a FAILURE in my book.

Its like a movie that wont end and people are starting to leave the theatre.

I agree with you, the end of the waiting is not managed very well in my sense...

BUT

Don't forget something: Scott has told us last week that the debut was postponed 1 week and the original date was November 5, so the new date must be November 12, that means tomorrow.

So for me Scott is not to blame for now...

For sure Scott isn't to blame, because he told us what he hears and he doesn't choose dates for press releases... Even if Z4 won't be presented even this month, Im still thankful to Eni and Scott for giving us informations...

I still don't understand why anybody here looks to Scott for inside scoops like press dates. Doesn't anybody remember how we were royally duped over the F01 7er's Moscow debut just a few months ago?

Someone who is connected to BMW and doesn't even know for that forum, told me same date for press release as Scott wrote on forum - in week between 3.11 and 7.11. So Scott gave us correct information, but looks like that BMW changed their plan.

Yep, I know. I'm not blaming Eni or Scott. I'm sure somebody mixed things up at corporate. I'm sure they got smacked.

Tommorow would be nice.

It´s another failure for BMW Marketing team (not talking about EnI or Scott of course).

calme down, its not like someone has canceled christmas...
maybe you haven't got it by now, scott is more or less giving us(with his messages) a look behind the curtain - its a live version of "the making of z4 marketing stuff". till now nothing has been offical, not a single date. life doesn't always work as planed, especially in the automotive industry (...cs concept...). don't expect scott coming around just because some meetings decided to make some little changes here and there.

I was waiting for this release more than Christmas...

Sincerely it's a boy's dream for more than 13 years (1995 with the z3 in James Bond ) that will maybe become reality next year... so a true preview of this dream is indeed more than Christmas...

And since a message several weeks ago from Scott was "November 5 2008: Blur the boundaries", and last week a new message was "they decided to report it for a week", I would have find normal and respectful for all the fans that are here everyday to give some information today explaining why the release is not here and giving a new date... Or at least say: "I have no idea when will be the new date or I'm not allowed to say it, sorry..." and try to explain why, cause this silence really hard to understand...

In my opinion no one has to vindicate oneself. Most people have more to do, then posting some news about a car, that will be launched not until next year. And there are definitely more important things then that.
I can absolutely understand, that there are no new informations about the Z4.
And it will not be the end of the world, if there aren't news before next week or before the next month.

now you know, always take messages/dates with a grain of salt.
frustration won't make you change anything
personally i would have also wanted to see it by now, but it is as it is...

BMW have more serious things to focus on right now - financial/money. You all know its more or less panic around the world these days. Release a new model is probably not a priority right now. You cant predict the future and not many saw all these problems we are seeing right now in the world.
