Oh, well, if you are looking for something fun on track, I'd say that the basic formula for such a car would be about the opposite of that of the BMW X6M... now BMW took something that really should not work and made it into something very surprising.

^ People were probably talking in exactly the same way when BMW came with the very first M5. That wasn't a sportscar at all either compared to the real ones back in the day....

At least the 4-door M5 never weigh over 2000 kg and with air resistance like a brick and behaving like a truck. Unlike X6M, the M3 has never been accused of feeling like a normal BMW to drive. X6M is having its 15 minutes fame but it will all be over when the next Cayenne arrives.

Problem with M3 V8 is that the car was compared M3 E46, not a standard 3-series. The problem with X6M is that the truck is compared with X6 xdrive50 and nothing unique to drive compare to xDrive50. Get yourself a xdrive50 with Powerkit and you have yourself a mini X6M for less money.
I like to sit low and agile, fast cars with a special driving experience thats why I'm not fond of X6M.

Then may be you should stop posting in the X6M thread, instead of repeating ad nauseam how it is a truck. Yes, it is freaking truck, we can all see that.

Other than that they say about nothing about the car itself. Mostly going on about the oddity of the car and how far from M it is or isn't.

What a croc of rubbish for a review, it seems they have nothing to say.

But for all the pace the X6 has, it doesn’t ever give the impression of speed that for many is more important than the actual thing. You will be a long way past any speed limit before the X6 begins to evoke any emotion in its driver.

Well, what a revelation, I feel the same way in my X6 50i. The reason been is that it is a stable, well engineered SAC, and it is reassuring to know.
I would rather have a car that is reassuring at high speeds than one that is shaky at such speeds.

Well, what they say is, I think, that it lacks sporty behaviour. Guess what? It should, by every possible means do just that.

The fact that it is as good as it is, well, that is just fantastic.
