Vermilion Red and Space Gray Metallic X6 Pic's

Spotted these two X6's in the Performance Center parking lot last week.I won't repost the same color X6 unless there is something different,ie.. with or w/o roof rails, different tire package, etc... I know VR is a poplar color and these are the first up close walk around pic's I've been able to grab. The Space Gray appears to be a finished production model 35i.Thanks. PalBay

Can we please just make one Palboy X6 picture thread instead of having a new thread for every set of images???

X6 "M" Possibly?

This is for JadeVetti.Might have spotted your future X6M.I was culling pics from my files when I looked a little closer at this pic. That sure looks like an "M" emblem on the side of that X6!!!! I know they need to be months,if not years, out on prototype development.I'll see if I can get a clearer pic.Your wait might be shorter than you think!!! Thanks. PalBay

Re: X6 "M" Possibly?

Hello everyone,

I am pretty excited about this new X6, just wondering what to order (btw. I am from Slovakia, Europe), if 35i, 35d or to wait for 50i... currently stuck with old 528iA (already driven over 300 000 km so quite a time to change it
I like petrol better than diesel, but there is a question if the 35i is as fast, or lets say as flexible in acceleration between speed as 35d... and as I have read somewhere the 50i production should start in October, so that means for me Delivery December 3008, and that is quite a while until then

Please give me some advice. Thanx. Peter

May need a few hundred other cars to get you through the wait for delivery.

PeTo_H, May I suggest you take a look at X6 World.A person posted a great writeup on just this subject regarding the different engine choices for the X6.This person post under Steved. This person resides in Europe and is much more knowledgeable about all things diesel than I am.You'll just need to ck the post under Steved. It's a long post you can't miss it.It's been within the past 30 days. One point I'll add.If your into Sporty and that includes the exhaust note, you will want either the 35i or 50i petrol. Both have awesome exhaust notes. The diesels are much more subdued.Thanks. Re: X6 "M" Possibly?

I will order X6 thats for sure, but it is hard to choose between 35i and 35d ... still not sure, at best I would take 50i but thats means longer waiting and also a little more money to spend on it.

1st X6 Commercial?

Caught what might be the first X6 commercial being filmed at the Performance Center today.Based on these pics and vids,it is clear who BMW believes is the most direct competition for the X6 xDrive50i:The Porsche Cayenne Turbo and Infiniti FX45.The pics show what I think are the interior stills being shot, the vids show the movie camera hanging off the door of the X6.I'll get the vids posted tomorrow. This also might actually be a training vid for dealers,I'm just not sure.Thanks.PalBay

Re: Palbay's X6 Pics and Videos Thread

Hey, I didn't know such a thing called X6 World existed! (about to go off and nose around) .

Peto, I wouldn't wait either if the 50i was coming out in December 3008, what do they think, I have my whole life to wait???? (j/k) The 50i debuts sometime in July in the US, which means production on it should begin right about now. In Europe, I think you won't see it until at least September (and I don't know why, I won't act as if I do).

Thanks Palbay, if I get the right glimpse of any M model for this vehicle, that's it, I just might wait a while. But the NY Car Show comes to town next week, and if I see the 50i there, it might be over. I might be sold. I can't wait.

I'm going to need tips on how to take great shots like those that Wimmer, Monster, CorpusCallosum, Merc1 and others have posted when they went to car shows. What's worse than me starting a thread just to TELL you guys about my day at the show? I have a Sony DSC digital camera, it was a Xmas gift.

I'm being nosey again. Empower, who....?

Re: Palbay's X6 Pics and Videos Thread

December 3008 is too long to wait for any vehicle...lol

Taking pics at a live auto show just take paticence. People usually are pretty cooperative if they see you're trying to take a picture, but as with anything dealing with humans, you have some real a-holes who will walk right in front of your camera. Early morning and late evening are of course the best times to take pics and of course on a weekday like Tue/Wed.

By the way, it's interesting to see that from the photos, the chrome trim that surrounds the window may be an option on the 50i after all, and not standard.

Hopefully at no extra charge....

Oh, believe me, Yve, there will be extra charge for that as it always was. It was an option on all 3 BMWs i bought so far... And i've had to pay for it every time.

First X6 Commercial Vids?

Hey guys here are the vids I took yesterday at the Performance Center.I wish I could tell you these are vids of a V8 X6 blasting around the PC track. It's not.Just some interesting low speed action vids of a great looking VR X6 on a bright sunny day.The noises you hear in the background are my 10yr old son,who cannot sit still nor be quite. Also,my camera does not adjust depth fast enough and some of the vids are bit blurred on a couple of occasions.Sorry on both accounts.I'm not sure if this was part of a commercial shoot and/or a training vid for the dealers? Thanks.PalBay
