 | Taken Delivery; X5 30sd M-Sport Titan silber Finally the wait is over and the car is better than my wildest dreams, well worth the wait imho. The BMW individual leather dashboard (first one thats been delivered in this country on an X5 to my knowledge) quality and feel is like the rest of the car, superb the double stitching is more contrasting than the pictures reveal. (in a good way) The engine note is like no other inline 6 diesel I have ever heard, it's almost growling like a V8. Nice sound to it. I am still running it in so cannot say much bout the performance other than it must be more than enough from the ranges I have tested so far. (no kickdowns yet etc) The Professional Hifi I think will be more than enough to satisfy any needs I have, regardless of music type I have listened to. I took delivery on Monday, been able to drive it aprox 800kilometers since then. on first long trip aprox 700km I averaged 0,84 on southbound leg (avg speed aprox 65km\h 0,96 on northbound leg, with avg speed closer to 90km\h (different road quality small roads and 70% highways) No complaints what so ever, I am as happy as can be. Stats: 118d, manual gearbox, 2008 delivered dec24th, sparkling graphite, 130i grille, sports seats black leather with alu interior list, the alcantara interior ceiling, sunroof, with adaptive lights and all the packages except navigation, since the car is mainly driven back and forth to work\kindergarden etc. Tycoon The Quad exhaust are the Hartge exhaust tips, I ordered them through my dealer prior to placing the order for the X5. Originally planned to have them on the X6 I had pre-ordered but cancelled the car once I found out it came with 4 seats only... For those interested here is the rundown of whats in the spec of my X5. Later on I overheard my wife talking to a friend on the mobile, she commented that she was struggling with one kid wanting to watch a perticular dvd in the back while the other kid was nagging about her finding ACDC Highway to Hell on the hifi... she said I could just as well been set to drive a spaceship home.. So the official name for my X5 is now Rocket (from the Little Einsteins on Disney Channel)... Now if I can convince my 3yr old to believe it too - this might turn into some good fun..(For those thats seen the series, clap clap clap to make the Rocket accellerate.. visualize a 3 yr old clapping like mad - while dad floors it  ) After all the kid is convinced that our classic Maserati is atleast as quick if not quicker than Lightning McQueen (Disney Cars) Have a good w\e all, I know I will Brgds Milorg Last edited by milorg; 05-23-2008 at 08:43 AM. |
