| They have done the initial bodywork for the iS , iSd. It is something similar to the Autobild/Autoweek image re-imagined by Bimmerpost with Z4 Sdrive 35iS overtones in the front and rear. The answer to suggest an X3M is on the cards is unknown because that decision will not be taken until after the F25 has established itself into the market. Second time around should not employ the initial integration because now BMW have to convince the new X3 is much more radical and forward thinking than the E83. BMW will concentrate on especially the dynamic overhaul and quality upgrade with the F25 over the E83's "bare bones" style aiming right at customers of the Q5 and GLK-Klasse. Here is something seen in the BMW Designworks Press release. Before you get over excited it was an early addition to the X1 design competition. What i would like to show you is the sculpture at the rear of the car that stretches in the middle and forms the front wheel arch. If you look back at the E53 X5 you can see this design feature adding solidity and athleticism to the E53. In the X3 you will see this feature and here it is a better interpretation of how it will look compare it to the X5 (E53) and you can hopefully see what I am trying to show you. |

will the X3 iS version be sold at the launch of the new X3. Or is BMW planing to first offer smaller engines (2.0->3.0), and bring this sport version later? thx | |

| Front reminds me too much of the hideous E83 front end. I hope it is just good camouflage or it could be another difficult 7 yrs. |

| Look like the first FEP stage pictures to me! And, to my disappointment, they should have left the cladding on because now it doesn't look so good. Hopefully it will when the it's officially launched.

| I agree with Betty. It's almost looking like E83 facelift now. Not impressed with what I am seeing so far! But that must be the combination of black bumpers, no details and a lot of tape everywhere. That makes it look awkward. Hope that will change soon, I still have hope that X3 will rock! The shape of the grille and the LED rings look good already though, phew. Also, Palbay delivers again. First FEP pics right here.

| Surely that bumper is camouflage and not the real deal? I just don't see how they can design the perfection that is the X5 (2 generations) and stuff up the X3 for 2 generations. |

| I'm not worried. It's either a fake bumper, or looking very strange and even ugly because of intelligent cladding around it (we're missing the bigger picture). X3 will deliver. It has to.

| Definitely has to deliver. The X3 could be considered redundant with the good looking X1 and the great looking (throw more compliments at it if you like, I won't disagree) X5 if it doesn't. |

| Redundant like it is now, with nonexisting sales. GLK and Q5 have completely taken over. And if the car does not deliver by being a great looking car from the first second you see it, it will NEVER catch up.

| I just hope that it's not a "A8"/"Touareg"...looks like a evolution of the old one or a major FL... ![]() With the competition e.g. Q5, MLK, Tiguan etc. BMW needs something new and fresh just like their new model range the 5 GT, F01, F10, X1.

| ^ It's only a Mk2 ... And as such the 2nd design will be evolutionary. Just like E53 X5 vs E70 X5. Or the Z4 (E85 vs E89). Or the Mk1 vs Mk2 1er. It will be the same case with X3 - F25 vs E83. Evolution. Revolutions usually happen with n+2 generations. ![]() |

| Customers who bought the X3 did like the appearance of the car , they were not impressed by the interior quality or the ageing architechture. Although the facelift and new engines did extend the car towards the end of it's life. The best selling X3 model is still the xDrive 18d. And it's still holding up well especially with the X1 now on the market but of course the BMW partner is offering excellent deals on the outgoing models. We have our X3 ready to begin filming in the next week . We have just completed European work for the BMW 5er Touring that was again completed at Millau and the Viaduct bridge - More of the same " An exploration of Beauty" becomes an " Exploration of Space" so the same concept except in Touring form. Both cars head to Cape Town South Africa for exterior filming. The X3 will also commence filming in New Zealand before moving to Switzerland and the Northern parts of Scotland. whilst a team from BMW NA will film in the US and Canada. Expect to see more FEP's around Spartanburg in the next few weeks. When we get to April , BMW will launch a product or innovation or Package every month. The 5er Touring will launch in April a World Premiere in AMI Leipzig, with the X3 in July. The Beijing autoshow is also up and coming.

| +1 Unfortunately I agree! Let's pray to be all wrong! I am expecting more impressive exterior design with a lot of changes compared to the old one and not a kind of "facelift" of the previous 2 models. Also I would like to know if there will be any hybrid version? |

| I´m not too surprised. This time camo doesn´t work as good as other times, I can perfectly see the shapes of the car, specially the front and rear lights ones. |
