| X1 is going to be a great BMW . Customers will love it's flexibility , efficiency and compactness with great driving dynamics, It is a very exciting car. Respondant here in Deep Sea Blue metallic. Debut is June. World Premiere at IAA in September. Better get moving then... |

| With the BMW X1 ,the consumer can configure their specification to what is expected on either a X5 etc make it luxurious with all the options and still have the xDrive 2.0d, especially in times of downsizing like today. Our marketing projections predict that the best selling X1 will be the XDrive 2.0d. Unfortunately at this time it is still not viable to introduce the X1 to the North American market as the economy does not provide the rates of return for viablity in the US Market. |

| I think it has more to do with the fact that people are buying less premium cars than before. So there might not be a point in bringing this Baby X-car over just to have people say "hmm...that's nice. I could use a small and slightly high vehicle. I'll go with the CR-V." Remember, no matter how cheap this will be, it will still be more expensive than the closest competitor from the japanese. Also, if the marketing projection say that the Xdrive2.0D will the highest sellers, the Diesel variants in the US haven't picked up yet.

| This is just an early engineering prototype done by Technik GmbH division for testing the new iDrive. It was mounted into E61 5er Touring. The design has nothing to do with any BMW current or future interior. ![]() The pic I posted in my previous post is a real X1 interior - pic was taken at the preview drive in Finland by some German magazine. |

| That's not the dash you will find in the X1 , neither is the dash originally scooped that was straight from the 1er. The new BMW X1 receives a dash using the "Wave" Design formula as seen on the new Z4 Roadster. BMW X1 is totally seperate from the current 1er but with the next generation you will see some firmiliar design elements and features. Shooting begins in Vancouver next week - lots of mountains , forestry for the first phase. |

| Engines and 2 WD My dealer where I ordered my Z4 sDrive 23i told me it will be available with two wheel drive from the start can anyone confirm this? On the engine side he told me 20d and 23d. I wonder if there will be a 18d ? ![]() |
