  |  80 Years Of Volvo And Legacy Of C30 The new Volvo C30 comes in on Volvo's 80th Birthday. Most people are not aware of the C30's interesting past lineage. Volvo had a hatch in the 80's and 90's that was not on our US shores. The Volvo 480 is the predecessor to the C30 and is very 80's in a VW Scirocco kind of way. It's predecessor was the P1800 The new Volvo C30 comes in on Volvo's 80th Birthday. Most people are not aware of the C30's interesting past lineage. Volvo had a hatch in the 80's and 90's that was not on our US shores.
