
The Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake is undeniably a stunning car and is now available to order, with prices starting at €61,761 for the CLS 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY. The entry-level 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY engine produces 204hp with a combined fuel consumption is 5.3 litres of diesel per 100 kilometres. Two six-cylinder engines are offered in the form of the 265hp CLS 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY (€65,628.50) and the 306hp CLS 350 BlueEFFICIENCY (€66,818.50). The CLS 500 BlueEFFICIENCY (€82,229) has a V8 biturbo engine producing 408hp. Mercedes-Benz’s all wheel drive system, the 4-Matic, is currently available with the the CLS 350 CDI 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY (€68,365.50) and the CLS 500 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY (€84,966). At the top of the line sits the CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake (€117,512.50), with an AMG V8 biturbo engine producing 525 hp and 700 Nm of torque, as well as the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission.
The options list is rich. What stands out is the designo wooden luggage compartment floor, “which serves to underscore the hand-finished nature of the interior. For the luggage compartment floor made of American cherry tree wood, selected veneer sheets are glued and pressed together by hand in five cross-bonded layers to achieve high dimensional stability”. MB’s LED High Performance headlamps is also available for the CLS Shooting Brake. The market launch of the CLS Shooting Brake will commence on October 6, 2012 for all engine variants.
