Pretty cool test. The F430 had a big advantage with its launch control. The AWD on the Gallardo bogs its down like a C4S. Gallardos have notoriously weak clutches too. I launch my car like a grandmother since it needed a new one at 1100 miles (I've never had to replace a clutch on any other car before)
Car and Driver burned out a clutch when they road tested one against the F430.
With the GT3 its easy to over rev the engine and get wheelspin. That wasn't much of a racetack they had being only oval. On a road course with equal drivers I think the GT3 would beat the F430. Its the total package. I'm not a big fan of the F430. The first time I saw one the intakes on the rear fenders looked way too big and the enzo-like tail looked like a copy of an elise. A friend of mine sold his SL65 when he learned he could get on the list for a F430 so hopefully I'll get some seat time before the end of 2006

I'm going to try and take some fresh pictures in the driveway this weekend and post them in the pics section.

The Ferrari F430 is amazing and would get my vote anyway!
As an MB fan I wanted to see more of the SL65.

Wow, that F430 is incredeble!! And so is the GT3 Clubsport!! But Im with GTA, the SL65 shouldve been tested...

In the beginning I see it says SL55 and not SL65.

Anyway I loved the ferrari
