The death of the fan boy. I'm jumping to the other sid eof the river to join those unhappy with the new model. This has to be the first time a face lift is a down grade in looks. Mercedes has disappointed, the face lift just looks new but is not beautiful. If you ask me the new SL can't come soon enough.

Just look at how beautiful this is.




Let's just hope that the SLC is a mean looking ride other wise I'm done with the generation SL.

Nah, i think you're overreacting, Luw... Once you see that bad boy IRL i'm sure you'll change your mind. Don't give up from SL just like that.

Well, the facelifted SL looks great - except the front. The grille is "ok" but those headlights just mega bother me. I think this SL should have been released with the same headlights as before. There are other ways of "refreshing" a car and actually making it pleasant looking!

This is my opinion of course. I just don't like the new look. Maybe if I see it in real life I will change my mind, but right now it's not growing on me.

When I see the current SL, it's such a beauty. It's still so modern and the lines are so smooth and beautiful.
When I see the new one, it really makes me sick... horrible...

The new one is growing on me RAPIDLY, so I will abstain from voting until I see many more pictures or in the metal.

Current one looks better by 200 miles ...!

The living-legend for me SL55 AMG

As much as I hate the new front, the AMG version seems to harmonize well with the new design. For some reason I think here it does flow.

Bro, can u replace those 2 ugliest shots of the facelifted SL with 2 nicer ones?? and I dont think ive ever seen better pics than those of the pre facelift u just posted ..lol

I think I know the reason why. The bumper curves in a different way in the true AMG version, the outer edges of the bumper follows the curve of the headlights, but the bumper of the normal SL with AMG package doesn't. Look at the photos below, I have highlighted the difference. As a result of this small detail the design of the SL63 seems to flow better.

Let me first say that the old SL is a legend. I think Hollywood when I see that car. But I could never see myself driving it.

The FL on the other hand, I definitely can. That's all there is to it.

Having said that, I'll only accept the AMG version though. It seems as though the only Benz's I like MUST be treated by AMG. I'm just not a fan of any other models at all.
