Prices start at less then 35.000 €! --- Well it doesn't look bad, but don't like the side profile! Proportions look weird…

| 35.000€ for the 9-5? Then how is the 9-3 going to be priced? Also, what's that with the blackened pillars? It starts to get annoying Last, why is the whole dash an air vent? .... Looks very nice, though, and feels very different from anything else on the market! But I can't say I like the interior!

| ^HOH, unless you could actually leave the top at home, this also is a POS actually. The hole car has to be reconfigured just to get in and out? Gullwing or SLR doors would suffice. Imagine having to get IN OR OUT during a storm LOL ... The whole car will be drenched! Cool looking, but POINTLESS and IMPRACTICAL

| It's OK, not really ugly, and not really pretty. I still don't like how the roofline starts at the A pillar and dips on the C pillar (like in the concept). I see one thing hasn't changed, guess Saab is still hiring the same horrible dashboard designers.

| The guage cluster and area aournd them is terrible looking and cheap. I don't mind the blackened A-pillars, actually like them much more than the blackened Jag C/D pillars. The car looks weird though in the profile towards the rear. Saab is neither here nor there for me. I kind of always respected them for being different, but then lost respect for them for their rebadged trailblazer ute.

| The only postive comment I've read so far in the first seven posts. For all the possible criticisms one can muster you can't call this design a carbon copy of something else. Well maybe except for um, another SAAB. That's not to say everything about the design of the 9-5 is great- don't get the excessive indentations in the dash design or the small side vent at the bottom of the front fender sitting next to the front wheel (something that generally works well with a longer fender design, like on a RWD car). From just pictures though I personally think the design looks original, sporting and muscular. |

| not a half bad car to think about it. the front and profle are typica saab, nothing to bitch about here. the rear has more than mazda whiff, also not something bad. the interior is daring, i kinda like it. at these prices it's not a bad offering. |

| Check this out, I went to autobild.de and started browsing through the gallery of the new 9-5 and found this.. ![]() The trunk hinges almost look like they're made of some kind of metal or perhaps painted in a metal finish color? If the former is true it looks like SAAB is taking a page out of VWAG's book and attempting to exude quality in other places than just the build and finish of the interior. |

| GM never had a clue what to do with Saab, and this car is the final testament to that. Ever since they took hold of Saab the cars have progressively been getting worse.

| Very cockpit/airplanesh inside and out...and aquired taste. Need to see it in person. There are still plenty of interesting Saab DNA/design ques there, but too bad its just another GM car underneath. A mismash, hodgepodge of various GM pieces. The test will be how it drives I guess. Saab does make some of the best seats in the business though. M
