 |  Tips for a new Passat owner? Hey ppl. hows everything goin' witch'ya. Ime pretty much new here, and this is my first thread. I decided to join this forum since i just got hold of my new 2008 VW Passat  .I was just wondering if any of you had any tips for about new car care, and since I got mine in black, ime living in constant fear of scratching the paintjob, or get it to look pale or something. Anywayz, if any of you good ol' german enthusiast guys ( don't worry I am too!) got any advice, just post it. Thanx. Abe. P.S: I live in Saudi Arabia, wich makes the possibility of choosing my own options close to nil, however, I got my VW with an extremly strange set of options wich i am pretty sure does not go under any existing package the company currently gives. If anyone wants any pics, I'le be glad to post some.(make sure you specify what you want me to shoot for you!)  |

 | Re: Tips for a new Passat owner? Welcome mate and congratulations on your new Passat. The car looks very good in black, but you probably know that it will get extremely hot very quickly. What engine does your car have and what options do you have? Some photos of the exterior and the interior, and the engine bay will be good, thanks mate

I promise Ile post some detailed pics as soon as its daylight (I just couldn't help but replay to all you kind ppl. :p, its still night-time). Its a 2.0T bytheway. |

| Re: Tips for a new Passat owner? Congrats on the car. For new car care...get some nice wax for your car. It will protect the shine for years. But like pheaton said, the best place on the net for VW info is vortex.

Here's the owner of a SEL Variant 3.2 V6 DSG 4Motion and *f#cking loving it*.  *Errr...it guzzles quite a lot of fuel for a V6 Estate car. I think I should have bought the 2.0 TDI 170 Bhp DSG, but I love the howling sound of the six pot and the 4WD grip.*
