Sorry if I made it sound like there the CGT is the only thing on their mind, coz it's not. What I meant was, right now (ie: in the past year) Zonda and Koenigsegg have put much more attention on challenging the CGT's record at the Ring. The CGT is currently the benchmark and the Ring is the ultimate proving ground for supercars who are concerned not only with speed, but handling and the overall set up of the car itself (compared with say the Veyron which purely focuses on speed alone).
I wasn't talking down Zonda, simply saying that recently there has been added emphasis in the Zonda camp about bettering the CGT's time.

Well, again, I wasn't implying that Zonda don't know a thing about engines or anything along that line, I'm sure they know a great deal. That statement was directed at Artist, because he continually turns a blind-eye to Koenigsegg, so I was just giving a comparison between Zonda and Koenigsegg to suggest that he should give credit where it's due. He tends to talk up Zonda, but in that example about their respective engines, you have to acknowledge how Zonda do get is easier than Koenigsegg because they get it supplied by MB/AMG.

Porsche developed their car on the ring from the start, so I'm sure it wasn't nearly as necessary. I don't see much wrong with them tuning the suspensions on the cars if the cars do indeed have adjustable ones. It's no different than the owner of a car having them adjusted to go hit the track or having it adjusted depending on the quality of roads where he or she lives.

I think you guys are getting a bit too hung up on one number, especially with how close they are.

As Artist said the Zonda F wasn't designed to beat the CGT at the ring. It was designed to be perfect(which is why it has the Fangio name) which it undoubtebly is. Being as fast as it is is just a bonus. And I have no doubt that the Clubsport can beat the CGT around the ring, and also do better in most of the other tests.

As for the Koenigsegg. I admire Christian Von Koenigsegg's achievement alot. He has done what most could never do. But imo the car itself is a disappointment. It's not that beautiful, even worse inside, notorious for its reliability and the main thing that makes it a disappointment imo is that is has those incredible numbers. Just reading them should tell you that the car is superiour in every aspect, but yet almost the entire supercar elite is up there with it in performance except top speed where only a few can beat it. With that in mind there is still some doubt that even the CCX will be a very good track performer.

Less than one second around the ring isn't that much and I still love the Zonda more than I can express in words. The Zonda speaks it's language in feelings, not numbers. Do you speak Zonda?

I don't want to talk down the CGT in any way, it is one of my very favourite cars and I don't care a bit if it's faster than the Zonda around the ring. I don't mind if it is so for all of time for that matter.

Pagani must've thought the Zonda beat the CGT as well because otherwise it wouldn't say "Nurburgring Record" in one of the clips on my DVD

yeah man soemthing is fishy that dvd says record the pagani dealer says record ( but that isnt so speciall) but most wierd is that Pagani says its a record..and they had to be there for the test.. i think we will find out whats up as the time goes

and dont forget guys the Zonda got 70/75 the highest rating of any tested cars..wich meanst that its allround the best..

About the DVD, perhaps Horacio wasn't invovled in the actual making of it.

I still find this time thingy thing very weird, my best guess at the moment is that Sportauto want a German car as the lord of the ring and because of that changed the time slightly

well the CS does..so its better than we think..lol

and if it isn't better then you will have to sit and wait for a beat-CGT-version.

I personally don't care much but it would be a d*mn fine bonus if the Clubsport was faster around the ring than the CGT. And as you said, it's hard to beat the CGT at what it's supposed to do.

And a CGT killer will probobly never come from Pagani.

well i find it very hard to belive that the CS with CF brakes more torque and more power cant shave off 1second of the Zonda F time..
it would most likely be faster..no doubt
