Impeccable inside and out! The design language is absolutely amazing. The front end looks so perfect with eye catching square-style corona ring, vertical shark nose with wide grill and that's how BMW front end should have been instead of slanted nose. The rear end reminiscent the facial expression of Gundam and I loved it just the way it flows. The simple curve line depicted the entire rear brake light and direction light cluster. The fender, profile, and crease line made it so well proportioned. The technology on efficiency is definitely sustainable for current automobile industry, not futuristic at all.

Please BMW, make it into production not in three year, now!!! As I already fed up with some of BMW design mishaps for several current lineups.

M1H resemblance ... yes, the headlight tech is the same ... yet here the units are functional. Also the "floating" body parts (layering technique) was also used on M1H , yet not at such severe extent - since the car had to be linked to the original M1.

But you can see, what is going on in Advance studios - where the future design trends, techniques & cues are explored.

Yet, as you know - the decision whether to put the car in production is much more rational ... It's all about the money after all.

But as said: leaving corrupted F1 circus, and thus saving some money, means BMW can now focus (and use the money) on other stuff - sustainable (sports) cars ... like this one, or upcoming Project i vehicles.

Lately the F1 image became so corrupted the marketing impact on brand was hardly positive ...

When @ IAA press days, ask the officials, how much does this Concept cars cost.

The number will surprise you.
Can't wait to ask them

Interior is simply out of this world both in term of fudamental design and styling, i see a lot of inspiration from certain futurist building over there.

After looking this car over and carefully at pretty much every detail, I have arrived at my conclusion.

This is has just become my favorite concept car.

Well, in all honesty. After thinking about it, it has trumped ALL concept cars. Why? Because it offers something distinctly to me (sportiness & sustainability) in package that I can see as reality. The cars coming in second is the GTbyCitroen and CS. The reason they fall behind is because of the lack of reality (citroen) and sustainability (CS).

I would love to believe what the official line is but I am afraid I can't.
Just like the CS, it was mentioned somewhere(if I am not mistaken) that the vehicle is production ready, so I am afraid we may not see the production version of this car.

Just like the CS, it will be a pointless exercise because either BMW management do not have a pair or just do not like building concept cars that people truly love.

I have to say it is a stunning vehicle, and like the CS makes me love the BMW brand, but like the CS I am afraid I will wake up sometime in the future to read some press statement about cancellation and in its place an X7-M or something out of the blues.

Well, I think he means the tech in the car is ready. So far, this car is a mish-mash of 6er/GT, Z2, F20 1er coupe, and next batch of cars will get the engine treatment. KERS like system is already on the new X6 hybrid I believe.

What I want to know is if the exposed headlights are coming back? We been seeing them in two concepts now, so hopefully yes. I love them and been missing them since E36 came out.

Well, these "exposed" headlights aren't as pronounced as they used to be. I think the execution on these are a lot better than the used to be.

I wish BMW can also adapt aluminum chassis mentioned in the video on these future offerings.

Cool to see the GINA concept used here with the movable slats in the kidney grille.

Also, it's a tad uncanny how the rear-end of this concept car still resembles the rear of the Z9 Concept from nearly 10 years ago. Of course this rear end is very futuristic, but if you simplify the lines and shapes, it's all still there.

Very impressive, and I look forward to seeing how some of the desing cues end up in on certain production models. Very intrigued about what the new 6er will look like!

I think it's on one of the previous pages where Scott said that BMW will be moving the future cars to aluminum chassis because it is an integral part of lowering the weight of the cars, etc.

Don't think so. BMW just invested on a new steel processing facility in it's Dingolfing plant. The new facility allows them to produce steel bodies that are of higher strength but lower weight. The upcomming F10 5er will abondon the aluminium front of the E60 for this new solution. I don't foree them adopting aluminium any time soon.

I love the "SLIPP 3R" brand of the tyres.

It seems like a great car, the looks are fantastic. The kidneys, the kidneys, I really hope they make it to the market (except that chav-style blue light). It is only a shame that it is 4WD.
