They say they have set every possible acceleration and deceleration record there is and when Caparo T1, another ultra-fast, ultra-insane road legal car, beat their lap record at the TopGear track, they have been hard at work making sure this doesn't stay that way for much longer. And for sure - it didn't. The manufacturers of Ultima cars now say they have set a new record at Dunsfold airfield of 1 minute 9.9 seconds, making their Ultima GTR720 once again the fastest road legal car around TopGear track. And to prove it, they even have provided us with a YouTube video with quite cocky commentary adding on to the "we are the best ***** the rest" theme. I have no information about what kind of tires they were using (whether or not they were road legal tires) but other than that I see no reason why would anyone question the authenticity of this lap record.
